Even the powerups got dumbed down too.

Kubo has used too many powerups that he ran out of ideas on making a new powerup.

Are we really supposed to believe that Gin went through all this, enabled Aizen's plan to acquire the Hogyoku, and betrayed Soul Society just so he could be the one to kill Aizen and no one else? That's an absolutely absurd character motivation. Gin had a million chances to screw Aizen over, why would he risk letting him win everything?

Just felt like pointing out that Aizen was holding his zanpakuto and he did slash him with his sword (and not his hand as previously stated).

If you look closely at pages 13 & 16, you can clearly see the blade of his zanpakuto protruding from out the same hand he slashes Gin with on page 19. And for the record, Aizen's no homo. When it comes to being secure and comfortable with one's own sexuality, Aizen's simply just in a league of his own. Hell, you'd have to be to go around sporting a mullet with butterfly wings.

I like how Gin's first injury in the entire series is half his wrist missing. He's just like "whatever. Walk it off."

maybe to deal the ultimate revenge and humiliation by striking Aizen down at the height of his powers? Or to wait until he could get his hands on the Hogyoku, cuz Aizen was the only one who could power it up enough for Gin to use?

I've always wondered why "comfortable with one's own sexuality" always means "straight". Those guys running around at the gay pride parades seem to be at least as "comfortable with their own sexuality" as the ones at the St. Pattie's Day parades. And I don't need to say which one of those parades Aizen would fit better in with butterfly wings on his back... ^_^

If Kubo really wanted Gin to look badass, he should have had him rub some dirt on it.

He also got his arm frozen by Shiro-chan, and GT'ed in the face by Berry-chan, and on both of those occasions his reaction was pretty much the same.
