It doesn't remind of Lacus so much as it does Code Geass' Gekka (Toudou custom) or FMP!'s Codarl...but the AS' hair in that series actually served as a force-field emitter for the Lambda Driver...but in this case I surmise the Nadleeh's hair are simply wires connecting the Nadleeh to the sensors embedded in the outer shroud.

...Somehow this reminds me slightly of the Mars Jacket concept but more aesthetic and better executed IMHO.

The screenshots on 2chan have some Sergei screenshots around (which probably led to me to a misunderstanding) but the one pic preceding this scene shows some soldier's helmeted face (which thus doesn't show any tell-tale facial feature) but...there's no scar to see...

They are heat-dispensing wires (not use on the i-model of the Cordal nor on the Belial, retractable on the ARX-8), they only serve to dissipate the extra heat generated by the Lambda Driver when in use.

I don't remember the mention of force-field emitter on Lambda Driver equipped AS.

Indeed, after this episode we now know each personalities problem for the four Meisters. Not a bad way to go with the show if you ask me --- and i bet it'll be rather interesting when some of them cross paths.

The music used during Virtue transformation to Nadleeh was <3. Classic Kawai.

Amazing episode! A 10 out of 10!

This is all fighting episode and the Virtue VS Tierens battle is really intense. Tieria shows he is a bastard again, instead of trying to save the captured Kyrios, he decides to vaporize him as well, saying his now trademark "You don't deserve to be a Gundam Meister". I have to laugh when Virtue gets its fat ass kicked. It shows how slow and useless it's actually. Until it 'casts off'. I have to admit, the hair and dual wielding the cannon do look cool.

I wonder if Tieria will change his attitude from now on. He always thinks that the other Meisters are unfit since they violates orders and show off new weapons earlier than planned, now he shows off Nadleeh when he's in a pinch. Take that Tieria! You are not better yourself!

Wow. Setsuna has no shooting skill, but he knows how to throw daggers and look cool!

Hallelujah. I really like this sadistic bastard. . He's really cruel. He can kill Soma easily in this episode and no, he adjusts his rifle to non-fatal round and toys with her. And when he kills the HRL soldier, man, it scares me....I wonder why Allelujah is affected by Soma's brainwave so much but Hallelujah doesn't?

I hate Wong Ryu Min. What gives you the right to criticize the Gundam Meisters? They are fighting for their life on the battlefield while you are drinking juice under the sunshine. Someone please kill her!

Anyway, this series is getting better and better!

Maybe more so than Heine's, but how is it more honorable than Nichol's when (unless I'm interpreting the raw incorrectly) the guy was begging Hallelujah not to kill him. It reminded me of that scene from Saving Private Ryan where the Jewish soldier was being killed by that German soldier they spared earlier.

Ugh, watching this episode's raw and not understanding completely what they're saying kind of ruined the crying scenes for me. I ended up having to control myself from laughing hard.

I'm not 100% sure, but I get the distinct impression that Hallelujah has tortured people to death before and is curious as to what the pilot will say as he dies. Lovely.


PS For whatever it's worth, Lockon killed 7 MS and Setsuna 9 (according to their personal tally).

What's Tieria moaning about? Maybe that he's not the perfection that Veda chose?

Dunno why Sumeragi was crying...I wonder who's going to get with her if Lockon is going after Felt (though maybe he sees her as a little sister) and will go after Sumeragi (now that would be a good match!)

It seems Lockon's the only normal meister, except he has an (evil?) twin.

Though seriously I want to see more of Hallelujah. He's so sadistic and just pwns everything in sight no questions asked =). He's the Tieria Tieria wants to be =)

Yes, it gives an interesting, if vague insight into Tieria. I wonder if he's an android... or someone who has been heavily modified (far more than Soma). Certainly the way his eyes go suggests something digital. Maybe he's been constructed from multiple people...? Doesn't seem to be multiple personalities as such - more like 3 or more in 1.

Nah, I think Tieria would be happier if he could be a Vulcan from the Star Trek series in terms of emotional restraint (and perhaps other things as well). Hallelujah just goes overboard with his enjoyment in killing.

Um, wow. That was pretty good. I didn't expect Tieria to cry at all. He cries because he didn't want to reveal 004 that early. I guess he saw it as a failure of his part to reveal his gundam's secret. Sumeragri cried because she thinks it's her fault. It was her mistake but she was almost helpless in the situation.

I like the comment about how 'imperfect' the meisters are. Veda might have chosen them because of the flaws.

'watashi' is gender-neutral. It doesn't mean that Tieria is a girl. The changes from 'boku' to 'watashi' might just imply Tieria's own 'transformation' as his gundam changes.

Very masculine, simply masculine (some would say boyish), gender neutral.

The cosplay girl mentioned at the end about how incomplete all the Meisters are even though the Gundams themselves are ideal.


EDIT: I'm waiting for Tieria to do a cast off "himself". Probably there will be an animated sequence of all the bandages around his torso unravelling (and hitting some other Meister in the face if we extend the analogy with the Taozi >.>)
