Quoted for truth. Nurarihyon is one of my favourite characters in this series, and i'm pleased that the second season is doing such a satisfying job of his backstory. It helps that this second season just looks so damn good. Really bringing these characters and the Kyoto setting to life. Not to mention how perfect Yusa Kouji is voicing a young Nurarihyon. Spot on.
Next weeks episode looks like it'll also deliver going by the preview. I can't wait. Same. I especially like the new pieces used during the interaction scenes between Nurarihyon and Youhime.

Interesting way to kill someone, stuffing them with money o_0 A bit confused on one part, are the yokai after liver or hearts? The thing that was consumed in this ep sure looked like a heart...
Anyways, best flashback I've watched, Nurarihyon is amazing, doing whatever he wants Seems a bit dodgy when it comes to women, but then again, yuki-onnas are so much trouble...kiss them and you die(?), let them go and they hate you for it :P Looking forward to the next episode, it's getting interesting. |

Nurarihyon really is one heck of a guy. Really just kept on going to visit that Princess constantly. Eventually making some good progress after taking her out like that. The proposal completely blew the entire clan away, especially Setsura . He really was a guy who just did what he wanted. No doubt though that he was close to getting a positive reply. Seems though that he'll need to go through a serious rescue first .

Excellent stuff. But with the season scheduled at 12 eps and the Kyoto Arc being such a monster, does it seem like this is a long time to be spending on a flashabck?
Serious Kana flags here, relationship-wise. Hard to miss the echoes from the first season.

Two human wives aren't really something to base the future on, especially since it was decided long before the story was planned that Rikuo would be a 1/4 Youkai (as the Mangaka wanted a Grandson of Nurarihyon after all).
I could add more to the topic, but then I would enter the spoiler territory. Lets just say that Kana's chances are... not what used to be once...

I can't see why anyone wouldn't choose Yuki-onna. But that's me...

but wasnt Riku strongest in his day/night form mingling in season1? There's a reason for that - you overlook that what makes Nurarihyon and descendants strong is the human part. I wouldn't rule out Kana just yet, though Tsurara is definetly cuter

If marrying a human was shocking for the clan, if he goes for Yura guess how shocking can be if the Third ends marrying not only a onmyouji but their leader as well. The won't not only continue the line but bring more problems and fun for the next head of the clean
