Both sound fine to me, but I guess it's a matter of taste.

I think the first season OP vocals also had effects, but either they were less or just different than those of the second season.

Yeah... listened more closely and see what you mean. The layering of whatever-the-hell-that-is over her voice gets progressively thicker with each OP.

As did I. Utauyo MIRACLE has much cleaner vocals than GO GO MANIAC. Aki Toyosaki is still getting some audio processing help to hit those really high notes, but it isn't anywhere near as blatant as it was in GO GO MANIAC.

I second that. To me, the new OP doesn't sound particularly "chipmunky" at all.

I don't have many "concert" video disks of Japanese artists (KOTOKO, ZONE, etc) but the K-On! Live concert clips I've seen were enjoyable enough that I sprang for the concert blu-ray. Sigh, what to sell, what to sell to compensate.

This soundtrack is about half the number of previous songs, and Hold Me price though.
Recorded many songs to this title decorated the ...! And why I
Episode 6, "rain!" Hirasawa sisters were singing nursery rhymes in "pretend candy" and
Episode 8 "course!" Children were singing in the sole of the kindergarten, "Tortoise and the Hare" was also included!

To say, these two really cute song is foul.
Can really feel while listening to gentle unison with nothing but grief.
I also wanted a sister about two ... uh
If I like singing in the rain two days, and I, perhaps, we'll see more color ...!
"The Tortoise and the Hare" is tiny but still want to sing praise to the only end Kireta luck.
The point I want to compliment one of the first story of the only kindergarten. I feel like that song.

Wow.... I keep calling this a juggernaut of merchandising phenom but then they keep surprising me. The VAs in this series better enjoy their time because it doesn't hardly get any better for a VA.

Based on the latest episode, its quite likely one of the songs they'll play in the school festival will be a ballad. Most likely it'll be U&I, so should be interesting to hear Toyosaki sing a ballad.

Well, they certainly seem to be quite popular choices for other anime right now, so they at least won't be out of a job anytime soon once K-ON!! ends. And Mio's VA's star seems to be getting bigger and bigger. You can definitely say that her dream came true tenfold.

And judging by the K-ON! Let's Go! gig, it looks like they've become very good friends outside of the VA work – which would be logical if you spend a lot of time together, either doing VA work of practicing those instruments.

Anyway, I hope the new character songs will be as good (or even better) as the original ones. I do hope that, assuming all 8 characters get another shot at it, that Ui's and Nodoka's become a bit more interesting (as I didn't particularly liked those).
