You know what would be better, just like in the game, they could have different endings for the anime. So they would have 9 different endings, and Hino can hook up with all the characters. And it would make all fans happy. the end.

Has that ever been done before?

Yes, open-enders + multiple endings had happened before in a different Neoromance series like La Corda.

The issue with such open-enders is that it doesn't completely resolve any genuine romantic feeling and exchange during the series and making Hino a guy-tapping player would demean her character instead. In the end, it may satisfy those who are fans of differing pairings, but it leaves fans who want a proper, solid story and romance execution between 2 characters within the context of the story with a bitter taste in the mouth.

It COULD work somewhat if, rather than having multiple shorts of various character endings, it gives us special OVA episodes of each character's ending route and the lead-up to the guy's ending. But that would be expensive to animate.

Yeah, multiple endings for each possible pairing has been done before, and I believe the same company that's doing Corda did that other series as well...can't remember the name...it's some long Japanese name (not good at remember Japanese names, especially looong ones

). But I really hated it because it doesn't give any definite closure. Also, it was simply a rehash of all the scenes that showed the two characters together so nothing exciting or new. Unfortunately, I believe they will do the same for Corda or simply leave it at 25 as it is.

Well im starting to agree with Nightengale. An ova would better.

Why must they make us suffer by making this anime so short....

i would like to see a second series... since theres a korda 2 game. New characters means new challengers in quest for Hino's love. An OAV would be great and its highly possible... if they follow the same tradition with other neoromance titles (HaruToki has 3 oav+a movie, after the tv series) (Angelique has several OAVs too and 2 season TV series)

Yay~ Finally watched episode 20! XD The old, cheerful Hino will return in the next episode, it seems! Ahh... I finally understood why the title of the anime means "The Golden Chord". It all makes sense now.

I don't know if it's just me, but don't you think the scene between Tsukimori and Shimizu is rather cute? XD Strange, but they do make an oddly adorable pair. I mean not in the BL kind of way, of course... LOL~

I haven't really watched the anime, but the Nodame Cantabile live-action drama is really awesome if you want to check that out! The casting is brilliant, plus, the drama really does try to stay faithful to the manga.

Enola, better not openly ask for that here... since we all know (or should know) that Kin-iro no Corda is licensed.... >.>

and with that, it would be really better to support the North American release...

If the manga is licensed, you can't ask for it - even for raws. So be careful what you post. I'd recommend scanning through forum rules if you are unsure.

that's what I do... buy Lala + other magz / mangas... so, I end up buying lots of stuff... =__='''

the magazine only costs 400 yen + handling fee of 300 yen + 1000 (economy shipping, to the Philippines) shipping is by bulk, so you can order other items to save up on shipping. As for the shipping method, I've had a terrible experience with the express economy they have (because DHL ended up paying the customs and duties fee that I wasn't really supposed to have... T_T), so it would be better to just choose economy. Last week I got my package from amazon with the March issue of Lala and the visual books, and I didn't get to pay any single cent because I had it shipped by economy

As much as I want to go buy the April issue now... I want to wait till I can preorder the next issue so that I can order that + Lala DX all at once... >_<

There are other sites you can order it from, like Sasugabooks, but I find amazon the cheapest (most especially if you order other items too, included in one shipping)

er.. looks like I didn't answer one of your questions... you're asking if it's a monthly magazine... and yes, it is. it comes out every 24th of the month. Their publication schedule is actually weird... this latest issue which came out on February 24, is the April issue... lol

Spoiler: ok according to wat i think on the next ep which is ep 21 hino would be confidence and ready to play violin..but not the magic violin but a normal one instead. she and tsukimori haf a sort of date or sumthin and meets tsuchuira playin piano in minami gaki. and i think the last ep is the last selection and the last performer wud b hino and the series probably end wif hino playing well in the end and ppl clap and stuff. And i think she wont end up wif anybody.. AHHHH i really want an ova so aoi koji wud cum out!!

Spoiler: Tsuchiura is still thinking about what Sakimoto told him (about getting back together)... and Hino sees this worried look on his face. While they were walking, they come across a music superstore of some sort... Tsuchiura and Tsukimori sees lots of pianos being displayed / exhibited, and Tsuchiura goes to look at the grand piano. Tsuchiura and Tsukimori talk about the piano they have at home, and Tsuchiura was quite surprised that Tsuchiura has a grand piano in his own room. Tsukimori asks him that he must have been playing since he was little, then asks if he's going to continue playing even after the concours. Tsuchiura was surprised that Tsukimori would ask this, since it's not quite like him. Tsuchiura then returns the question back to Tsukiumori, telling him that he must have plans to go abroad to pursue music. Tsukimori replies "Yeah...", which once again suprises Tsuchiura since he's never been really honest before (especially not with Tsuchiura .. his usual reply would most likely be 'That's none of your business') The store manager sees Tsuchiura intently looking at the piano, and tells him to play it if he wants. Tsuchiura plays the piano, and Hino quickly recognizes him playing. Hino runs off to see Tsuchiura play. Sakimoto was quite surprised by this action (perhaps surprised by the fact that she knows Tsuchiura's music, and by Hino's reaction of surprise when she heard Tsuchiura start playing) Tsuchiura notices Hino, and the surprised look on her face... "What's that surprised look on your face? Haha... your mouth's half open (something like that )", he thinks as he plays the piano... Then as he continues to play, he is filled with thoughts of Hino, from the first time they meet, up until now. "...If not for her, I won't be what I am now", Tsuchiura says to himself (aww~ ^__^). He further thinks "I never thought, that she (her existence) would mean this much to me" Sakimoto is quick to see that Tsuchiura has feelings for Hino, as he sees the expression he shows as Hino was standing in front of him as he played the piano... As they were about to leave (Tsukimori and Hino will ride the train together, and Sakimoto will go with Tsuchiura), Sakimoto tells Hino "I leave Ryoutarou in your care" While Sakimoto and Tsuchiura were walking home, Tsuchiura tells Sakimoto "About what you asked me... I'm sorry, it looks like I already have someone in mind" Then Sakimoto tells him she knows, much to Tsuchiura's suprise ^^ Then kiddingly asks Tsuchiura "What's with the 'it looks like...'" (she's trying to tell Tsuchiura 'Why don't you just say it clearly?' since it actually shows in his actions ) Tsuchiura says "You're right... how do I say it... I love her" (it's actually 'suki', but it could also be in the level of 'love' now... ) While on the train, Hino wonders about what Sakimoti said, and thinks that she and Tsuchiura aren't on that 'level' (?). Tsukimori sees Hino thinking about something, and asks her what was wrong. She thanks Tsukimori for going with her, then tells him how she was surprised that Tsuchiura has a girlfriend in junior high. "I never had any (boyfriend) up until now... 'Love' eh.. must be great", Hino says Tsukimori says "Love, eh... it is said that people's music changes, when they fall in love.. perhaps because of the effect that it has in their feelings (as they play)" Hino was surprised, and tells Tsukimori that she never thought he would tell of the word 'Love (renai)'. Tsukimori tells her "Well, it's not like it has happened to me..." Hino wonders what he was talking about, either the fact that people's music change, or the fact that he hasn't fallen in love yet. But then, Tsukimori adds "...but then, I can't completely deny this fact... given that Hihara and Tsuchiura seems to be those kinds of people who play based on their emotions" "I think it's good... I think it's splendid" Hino says... then thinks about wanting to play the violin right at that moment...
