What the hell are you talking about? Such a thing can only mentioned by somebody who never served for his country like soldiers do.

Even if Alicia is actually a tank fodder as she is a foot soldier in the sergants ranks she is a backbone of the army. She serves as an executive force of the country which stands between the civilians and the aggressors.

But she can be sacrificed for the good of the country, thats what he meant when he said she is not important.

You simply cannot compare the value of Alicia and princess, because one is the country while the other just serves for it.

Well, I couldn't find a sub of this one, but I don't think I really needed one. Actions spoke louder than words for this episode.

Spoiler for Episode 21:

• More tanks blowing up. More Selvaria pwnage.
• Fina's definitely not going to get killed off like Vyse was.
• Faldio's kidnapping of Cordelia certainly was a unique change compared to the game. Although it is a good way to show how he got the lance and shield.
• Alicia awakening to Welkin's voice was a nice touch.
• Alicia vs. Selvaria was a great fight, but I feel they could've made it last longer. It was pretty much a copy of the fight in the game cutscene, but that doesn't really make it less awesome.
• Guess I could be wrong. With the Batomys gone, my guess is the Marmota will be a factor in the anime's final episodes.
• Watching Largo almost get waxed was pretty good (not that I'd want him to die, mind you). Though I'd have loved it if Marina could've taken a shot at Selvaria...
• What's the deal with Selvaria seeing a child Alicia? That wasn't in the game. My guess is that the two were both Imperial Valkyrur test subjects, but Alicia somehow escaped. We'll probably find out later.

Great action, especially the Valkyria fight. I just wish they could've put their best animation into the duel; it wasn't the greatest.

• Like everyone else is saying, it looks like the aftermath of Faldio's actions. Welkin's sure to slug him one.
• Looks like Edy's getting to express an opinion. I wonder if she's scared of Alicia...
• Poor Cordelia. Being taken hostage by Faldio must've been scary.

Faldio sure snapped out of his BSOD fast. "I really shot her, gotta fix her up" Even though she was healing fast...
This episode was SO RANDOM. Faldio kidnapping the princess? RANDOM. Alicia appearing at the battlefield suddenly? RANDOM. Selvie remembering a chibi Alicia? REALLY RANDOM.
The art was wonky too in all of the far shots, lol.

The Alicia/Selvie fight was awesome, though. Alicia learned Teleport!

Ok I haven't watched the whole episode ,just the first 5 minutes, but man that "dramatic" scene in the beginning of the episode followed by the Opening that starts with Alicia shown as a Valkyria just made me laugh..again XD

I like how they subtly compared Fabio and Damon through their actions and words when Fabio took Cordellia hostage.

It truly is annoying how Faldio treats Alicia as if he wasn't the one who shot her in this episode.

Though i gave a huge thumbs up when Welkin's voice appeared on the radio, and Alicia began to wake up. Faldio's eyes were that of a beaten man, and i must say it's about damn time. YES!

I think the inter-Valkyria fight was the first part of this anime taken nearly frame-for-frame from the game. At least like the first 3/4 of it.

When the Imps were retreating none of their radiators was glowing, I noticed. I guess the tanks were just floating backwards.

And I think a lot of us proponents of the Wig Theory are going to get some vindication real soon. Just sayin'.

Faldio have stolen the Lance to the Valkyria Museum somde days before the battle, It's said in the Ellet's missives. It's also explained in the game.

I completely agree with you. Its about time for Faldio to leave Alicia alone. It was quite obvious who is On Alicia's mind.

It was good.. but there were so many inconsistencies. I did like how it was Welkin who awoke Alicia. I kept hoping for that to be the case and they kept me guessing two since they had two scenes with Faldio calling Alicia. But, Alicia was pretty bad ass once she awoke.

If this series was consistent and paid attention to the details and the war aspect, it would be awesome.

Finally watched the sub. Average is where I'd rate it. The animation seemed off at times, as did the character designs. Seeing Fabio steal half the episode AGAIN, just made me sick. Welkin once again gets all of 30 seconds of screen time.

Seeing Fabio realize that Alicia loves Welkin and only responds to him, was a sweet touch, and if not for that one part of that scene, I would have rated this lower.

about Alicia's fight, I quite enjoyed the slow motion. It really brings out the fact that she wasn't conscious. Geez... Alicia looks so cool in this episode. Bad luck to Faldio.. well, I'm just glad that he isn't a bad guy (though that probably doesn't excuse him shooting her in the back.)

Also, nice music for the fight. Does anyone know whether that's anime original music or is it from the game?

I think a Valkyria's strength is dependent upon their love and since Alicia loves Welkin and Selvaria admires Maximillian, Alicia was stronger. Plus she was in a trance and that almost always helps, lol.
