I...really can't see how shu's void is good in any way. The power to take everything and assume its weight...stuff like cancer? I can't think of anything beneficial that he can take. I'm also curious as to what would have happened if he drew out his void when he still had both arms. And why is it an arm in the first place? It has nothing to do with its ability to take everything, as far as i can tell.

As for why it's an arm, well, we quite clearly see him using it to pull Voids despite the genome being in his other arm (I think?), so I'm guessing there's a reason for it. As for what would have happened if he'd used his Void while still having both arms, maybe he'd just have gotten a blue outline over his arm like all the other Voids he used this episode. Who knows. |

I would guess that, if he still had his right arm, the Void would configure itself as a glove instead. |

Damn, this episode flew by when I watched it. I guess getting to know more about Haruka had me deeply interested. After all, we saw some of her past with Shu, her betrayign GHQ and running away and we even got to see more of Segai in action because of it.
Speaking of Segai, he looks silly in that hat he's wearing But I liked this episode because of him. He's always a good character to follow around because we haven't fully found out what his intentions are yet with Gai and Shu and the void power etc. Plus, seeing him be so cold hearted is always an eye opener, especially when he shot that woman after she gave away the Funeral Parlor location. Then to top it all of, he simply walks through the fires and mayhem around him with a smile on his face. I love this this (As in I love him because he's a good villain in this anime) *Sigh* His death was a nice one though, it didn't seem to weak or anything, he did have a good death after all hat action and mayhem he had caused. Damn, Oogumo was one bad ass character this episode. It was unfortunate that he had to have his death now, we didn't get to see much of him in action before. That makes one less Funeral Parlor member now...their all being hunted down. Once again though, it was interesting to see how Segai handle the situation. He's so sly and sinister, both physically and mentally. So that explains how Shy got his power back. It's all coming together, and with the anime title, it perfectly explains Shu's void to take on all the weight and burdens of everyone else. I myself loved this episode.

Segai may be a crazy bastard, but he was one great villain. His character could have been developed better (his motives, plans) but oh well, character development isn't exactly GC's strongest point. You will be missed, Scarface.
So now Shu has a new arm and a new power which doesn't only draws Voids but lets him shoulder that person's 'burden' as well? (The cancer crystals). That's one death flag going to him. And before I forget, R.I.P. Ogumo, even if you weren't that active during the past episodes. The preview for episode 20 looks interesting - a flashback to the Oumas' pasts, and most probably we'll get an explanation of the Lost Christmas incident. Looking forward to it! |

it's rare but I'll give this episode a 10/10
this is the last and epic comeback for Shu.... Bows down to the birth of a king... so his Void will absorb everything including the virus.... He is truly bear a Guilty Crown... I feel bad for his destiny (at least he always get Inori in his side) Feel bad for Ayase.... Gai doesn't care about her and Shu is already taken by Inori... why there's no one for Ayase??? just give her to me then!!! so Haruka is a coward... just like his 'son'.... but I respect Haruka in this episode... so Shu always viewed Haruka not only as a mom but also a sister I guess now now... who is Shu's real mom??? and where's Mana??? Shu is clearly Ouma Kurosu's son, right?? clearly a death flag for Shu... He will die with Inori... (damn! I hate bad ending) other death flag for Ayase too.... the only one who will get away maybe only Yahiro, glassed eye classmate, Souta (damn!! just let him die), or Tsugumi Arisa will die next episode because of her foolishness for escorting Shu... hahaha where's my Tsugumi X Daryl??? lol |

Shu did not ignore everyone he addressed them as a group when he asked for permission to use their Voids one more time. He only addressed Ayase face to face because she was there in front of him laying on the ground as she begged him not to use the Genome again. BTW 3 Void Genomes and 3 people with ability to use Voids and are the first to be infected by it 3 Genomes created for 3 people coincidence i think not (Mana.Shu,Gai)

Win win situation here; Scarface got his wish to "experienced" that "light". Shu wen't badass mode. Gai shivering, Undertakers still backs Shu. Gai's next death (again) should be totally awesome or I'll flip out and bang my head into a wall. Gai isn't or wasn't anywhere near "good". Fuck him.
Shu, for the love of god I know the writer/producer of this ain't the best of rest when it comes to story telling but please god let him live!!! Oh and inori too. I can see an epic 3 way or 2 against 1 battle of the genomes at the end. Advantage goes to Shu since he not only has a BigAssSword, he formerly wore a trench coat and has that uber katana-knife like void and a speed hack to boot. (God knows if ever though highly unlikely that Asuka ever changes her mind and let shu use her uber defense void). Gai? lol. I'm lovin' every bit of whats happening right now lol. |

I wonder what happened when Keido drew his gun and shot it through. Did Haruka somehow evade it? Because Keido didn't look injured, and his gun's muzzle flash was shown if you look carefully you will see.

And to top if off Haruka was seen for the rest of the episode with a bloody shoulder for being grazed by the bullet. How did she get out of that situation we don't know (yet). I'm guessing though that she probably shoot back and missed but took the opportunity caused by the confusion to escape.
