In case anyone's interested Here is a link to the pilot oneshot that came out before the main series. In my opinion I like the previous design of Some more than the main one... except the red hair. Soma is not "Soma" without red hair.

What's this? Souma actually struggling on something?! Seriously though, that was a really good chapter especially because it didn't end in another cumbstomp cook off.

^ Yeah, after reading this chapter, I think Souma is going to face an imminent defeat somewhere along the lines. It's not exactly smooth sailing for him especially with the 7th guy taking it easy on him.

Souma can't lose this particular fight simply because it mean would the end of manga.

Besides it would leave a bad aftertaste to see that bitch (Erina) be proven right.

Nah it was 6211 yen, so little less than $70 USD.

From what I gathered his father said he'd deposit once in a while...yet hasn't at all, leaving him with what savings he had. In a way it makes his father look even worse xD

Then Soma whips out a supermarket cheap beef with Half-price off sticker still on it. LOL. The Shokugeki match is like a wrestling match, complete with raving spectators. Spectators cheer on for Ikumi, but boo Soma. Erina is watching the fight from a VIP seat. Soma already managed to um.... turn on Nikumi just from the aroma stemming from his frying pan cooking the meat. Apparently cute.
