Back on topic, I was looking at a thread elsewhere (yay for more El Halluf strats) and found another map guide, though it is oriented primarily toward scouting.

Though if you scout with big tanks, it's called "fighting."

I thought it was called Hyper-"Active Scouting" ..

I don't use XVM's victory chance prediction, but I do look at the stats of each team and make the call myself. Though I've found that to blabber in the chat about who is probably going to win doesn't do much except get ppl pissed at you.

This. Whatever else a person does with XVM, if they start the game saying that the team has no chance to win, I will hate them, because that sort of talk just brings the team down.

In other news, the ELC AMX plays like nothing else I've encountered. It would be nice to relax and aim shots except that it has barely any useable turret traverse or gun pitch, and every single bump and chuckhole on the map makes firing on the move basically impossible. Plus the aim time is fairly bad, even with EGLD.

So yeah, I'm working between mastering the TD approach and the drive right up to someone's side and hit the brakes before shooting approach.

So, UTE, Alek and I had a nerve-wracking game.

It came down to a camping Caernarvon spitting gold at ~100% and myself (KT ~10%), Alek (IS-3 ~10%) and a nubbie JgPanther and M7 Priest. The game basically ended with him spending all his gold ammo during the fight, finishing off Alek .. and then me running in to finally kill him after he bounced on me. I take all the credit! Mwahahaha!

^ Did the Priest driver even shoot? I don't seem to recall him getting any shots in even after you lit the Caern.

Also, the KT was ammo racked and the IS-3 had a damaged gun. So it was all... tricky.

Personally I played my ELC AMX as a 'guerilla' tank or Arty killer depending on the situation. Basically getting up close, shoot and run away or waiting two minutes and than rush to their base to kill some arties.
The only tanks I don't use hit and run against are Russian and German high tier non-TD tanks with no support those I'll just hug and laugh at their pitiful gun depression.

I have only once seen anyone enter the water and come back out on that map. But the path between the north and central bridges seems intriguing. It could be rather valuable as an amphibious landing zone...

How do you chaps go about uploading your replays ?

I had a stupidly fun game today in my recently bought PZIII where I just decided to wing it and charge round the map and into a mass of enemies that I managed to send into complete disarray with them shooting each other as I weaved my way through them with my team backing me from a distance taking them out as they where distracted by me, even amongst the carnage I managed to bag a few and came out the other side relatively unscathed and even got the lucky medal !

Also got Mastery Badge after only 7 matches.




I only dawned on me after that I should have turned on battle recording but I'll do it for now on.

We upload it on the site called mwreplays. I also recommend using WoT replay manager, it makes finding your good replays a lot easier.

Anyway played 21 games today, only had two losses. I wish every of my WoT session was like that.

Indeed.

Though personally, I still think the E-75 should be a tier 10. Having both the E-100 and Maus as the end-game tank to the German heavies seem to lack variety.
