Also some art of StrikerS Nanoha and Fate in the "Force" segment of that comic that comes with the special edition of The MOVIE 1st Blu-ray.

Like i've said she draws good for posters or covers but i find her style unfitting for depicting emotion and moving stuff.

Fate's characterization was done so well in season one, and then when she proved she can think for herself by choosing to leave the dream she always wanted (episode 10 a's) for her friends...Is probably what sealed her as my favorite character.

Yeah, I love characters who can carry their weight, handle their emotional baggage and deal with what life throws at them by themselves.

Angsting is allowed, but I love it when they can deal with it on their own... And actually, really dislike it when they can't. Fate can, of course.

I'm the same way. There is a fine line between angsting and just being plain emo. And a lot of the times when they can't handle what life throws at them, it ends up on the latter side of the fence.

Though some characters have it so shitty, it's understandable that they are never fully able to break from it.

I'm glad you think that way. I just see many people who just don't give characters a chance to go emo for a bit. Certain characters angst for a little while and then jump back to it yet a lot of times they somehow have that "emo" tag on them by the viewers. That's just not fair.

But damn, that Fate poster just makes me want to buy that issue already!

Eh, I think Fate got over things a little too quickly. Trauma like that should take years to overcome, not days.

I fail to see how this is so. The faces show emotion just fine and don't lapse into the derp look Vivid's art sometimes does.

I agree with you non ViVid's "derp look". But The MOVIE 1st manga has much more expressive faces than Force(who also have it's own share of "derp look" xDU).

It didn't take days. She just doesn't whine about it or expect sympathy at every corner. The quiet personality she has now is all because of the first season. She was quite the opposite before Precia started abusing her...As seen in the movie manga flashbacks.

Seemed spot on to me. Only jumped into action to have one more go at persuading Precia to accept her. She was rejected, but she found peace in knowing she has a better place now. While she never got over it, she has no reason to keep that sad exterior, because she now has a friend-- and more importantly-- a home that accepts her. Personifying what angst truly is, and not treading down emo lane.

...but this is going off topic, so I'd prefer it ended here...or at least be taken to PM/profile.
