Well ... to sound like a broken record, I agree with Echoes - Yayoi is my favorite character in the series up to now.

Haruka and Miki would vie for second place, I think, but Yayoi is tops.

Personally I've only read the Innocent Blue and Puchi Masu series (Hey, I'm not made of money you know) and I love them both. ESPECIALLY "Puchi M@su"!! What can be more lovable than the idols we all know and love? How about the idols we know and love with miniature creatures(?) that resemble them!!? Yeah, LOVE it. As far as "Innocent Blue" goes its pretty good. If you've played the game then you wont find anything really new in it but you'll enjoy the illustrations and the original chapters. Though otherwise there isnt much going on...I mean, do you really care to see Ritsuko with her hair down and without glasses? Or to find out that Eri sleeps in her Neko-mimi PJs? Yeah, who cares right? Pssh

Dont know how far the discussion on the iM@S merchandises will go...personally I usually only buy figures and artbooks and the sort. I wish they'd do a new line of iM@S nendoroid series...*sigh* I think that the Character Discussion threads will take off pretty nicely though. I think we've got plenty to talk about our favorite characters so.

On that topic, my favorite characters are:

#1: Hibiki Ganaha
Overall I like her the most. Looks, personality, singing ability (in other words the VA) are all top notch. I really love her positive, happy-go-lucky attitude. I also love the fact that she's an animal lover. (over the top animal lover I should say...)
And I think that the fact that she's from Okinawa differentiates her from the other characters without making her seem totally out of place. Its one thing if we had a character from...lets say the USA, then she'd probably stand out from the other characters but Okinawa? Strangely enough you dont think about it too much.

#2: Makoto Kikuchi
She basically ties with Hibiki but if I had to choose one over the other I had to go with Hibiki so...but I still like Makoto. I like how she's always trying to become more "girly", not "ladylike", GIRLY. Its all thanks to her father, the kart racer. Dont know whether to hate the guy or not as Makoto wouldnt be the girl we all know and love if not for him treating her like that she was the son that he wanted...but its thanks to him that Makoto is so athletic so. Meh

#3: Yayoi Takatsuki
As far as cuteness goes she's #1 but overall she ranks #3...sorry Yayoi. Though I shouldnt have to explain why I love her...really, I shouldnt have to.

Girl I'm keeping my eye on: Takane Shijou
Beautiful, mysterious, and loves ramen...thats all I know.

LOL those three are my top three favs from iM@S as well, but in different order

My #1 is Yayoi, then Makoto, then Hibiki.

I also like Chihaya and Ami-Mami twins.

Really? I think her charms are apparent. She's chuck-full of energy and quirkiness and has her own little mascot! Personally I tend to find animal mascots more annoying than endearing, and this time is no exception, but the girl herself is easy to get behind. I find that often, affinity and love for animals is a good indicator of a person's character in general.

I'm surprisingly fond of Makoto as well... can't really explain why.

I'd really like to see some more of Chihaya, though. She's voiced by one of my favorite voice actors, so I hope the next episode delivers some good stuff!

Though its partly due to me already taking in a dangerous amount of moe by coming here after watching Yuru Yuri (young Kyoko could almost match Yayoi in cuteness)...but still, HNNGH!! Hello, I am new to the iM@S franchise so my only knowledge comes from the anime. Having said that, my ranking so far:

1. Miki (the best at her job, has people skills and a killer body)
2. Makoto (so GAR that she turns girls into lesbians, yet she wants to be girly)
3. Hibiki (love her genkiness and DAT FANG)
4. Chihaya (always the butt of the joke, makes me want to protect her)
5. Azusa (sweet and awesome body, but I don't like dojikkos very much)
6. Takane (mysterious and intriguing, I want to know more about her)
7. Iori (tsundere with a heart of gold)
8. Ami (just a little ahead of her sister because she is in Ryuugu Komachi)
9. Mami (the twins are so much fun)
10. Haruka (so far she hasn't impressed me, still waiting for her episode)
11. Yayoi (far too delicate and boring, she shouldn't be in this business at all)
12. Yukiho (how can she be an idol with a fear of men? Annoying)

....And damn! Tom Girls apparently fit really well into long, casual dresses! And I really dig that style of heeled boots. Hibiki is just overwhelmingly dominating everyone here stylistically dog~
