Oh no, I can't see how anyone would hate on the Pats...It's not like they cheated for years with a long line of redtape that basically proves it .. But yes Brady sucked today in part because he can't throw the deep ball...

And if you're gonna hate the Patriots for 'spygate,' you should hate every team in the league. Because according to Boomer Esiason and others during that season, every team was doing it and Goddell had to specifically send out a memo regarding the issue telling teams to stop. |

I think Brady's deep throw problem is more on the recievers
Welker- Scrappy inside the numbers reciever Ochocinco- He was inactive for god's sake and is not a threat anymore Edelman- See Welker Branch- Only shows ability in 1 on 1's Underwood-??? His best season (07) was when he had an actual deep threat (Moss) |

It never seemed like they had an offense even centered around throwing it deep, but when he did end up throwing deep balls he never seemed awful at it. At least no where near to the extent you make it out to be. That has become such a tired reason for hating the Patriots. Former coaches like Marty Schottenheimer, Bill Parcells, Jimmy Johnson, and Marv Levy all admitted to doing the same thing. The Oakland Raiders used to hire lip readers back in the 70's because they also used to steal signals. I think I also remember Mike Ditka saying on Mike and Mike that all the coaches during his time were doing the same thing. I'm sure there is plenty hidden in the underworld of Sports of people trying to get an unfair edge on there opponents, stuff probably far worse than what was going on with spygate.

Amazing defense by both sides. Smith has 1:47 to pull off what he did last week or we will get the overtime game we should have in the earlier game today. 49ers inability to convert ANY 3rd downs is killing them, though. Whereas the Giants can't run to save their life.
Edit: And now Eli will have 1:20 to.

49ers have been horiffic on 3rd down all season. It's no surprise.
Well, they shut down that drive. Smith will have one last chance with :19, but likely we are headed for overtime. Edit: And we are. Ironically the 49ers finally converted a 3rd down on that final play. If they had time left. Akers was in field goal range. Oh well, time to see who wins under the new rules.
