The real reason for this show is that small armour will hardly cover any skin and will easily crack open to reveal what's underneath.

Please don't force me to go into a lengthy rant on why this armor is anything but realistically viable. It's obvious that it was created solely for the fanservice. There is no other reason behind it.

Now, I'm still hoping the battles they'll fight will be animated well. They don't have to be realistic, just... I hope they make them impressive. It's not often we see a swordfighter using a shield in anime.

if she actually go into battle in that sort of armor, a glacing hit from a fast moving debris would give her a cut.

unless the fights only use larger weapon that can't fit though those small gaps in her armor, that armor is good as a regular robe for protection.

which is not very much at all

the sole purpose for armor of that kind is pretty much fan service, as everyone has guessed it the moment they see it.

There was no discussion, someone just entered the wrong thread and checked on something not suited for him.

Armour? There is no armour in the first place, there are only pieces of metal and garment for others to tear up.

And great to know that Dizzy is getting into the fun, though I'm also interested in Bridget lol

And yes, the armor grants magical protection, it may look weak, but in reality, sealed within the armor itself is the ultimate defensive magic. Upon striking the armor, it will break off and release a holy magic, entrancing the foe, allowing for an open opportunity for Reina/Leina/whatever to strike.

According to the Queen's Blade website, something is supposed to happen on 3/14/2009, anyone know what it is? I can't read =(

I haven't read the entire thread, but has anyone mentioned that the director is a refugee from the dark side? His previous works include Night Shift Nurses: Experiment, Plastic Little, and G-spot Express...as well as Genshiken 2, which was his step onto the non-hentai stage.

Since he is also the writer, I have no idea how this show will go. Except that it will show lots of flesh and panties. I do hope it rises well above Ikkitousen, and even above Koihime Musou, which was actually not that bad.

As a Hirano Aya fan, I have no objection to a risque role. She's not the goody two shoes people remember from her teen years. She's a bit of rocker. We'll see how that translates here. And she already had an ecchi role over two years ago, in Sumomo mo Momo mo.
