No disrespect intended, but I believe you might be getting a bit superficial in this aspect. The thing is, hair colour takes back stage to the story, and in no way does it make the characters or the story any less interesting just because they don't "look like" their manga counterparts. Provided the actor can play out the essence of the character's personality, I seriously don't give a damn about their hair colour as long as it doesn't impede my enjoyment of the story. |

for what i heard "a Different note" is not a sequal but the store of L and his past. so not death note 3 but just a spin off. but i still want to see it. i think it's revolved around the los angelos case where naomi help |

I have no idea why accuracy to the source material is of absolutely no concern to you when it comes to character designs. I mean, what if they made a live action Bleach movie, and Ichigo had black hair? That would not only be shit character design wise, it would affect the story negatively too. Quote:

Judging from your arguments, I take it that you live in North America and have been to Asia about once or twice? Please do pardon me if I'm mistaken. No disrespect intended, as an Asian living in Asia, this argument about manga character's hair colours in live action adaptations is really a no-brainer for me. Believe me, almost no one here who've seen both the manga and the movie had any issues with why Light doesn't have brown hair or why Misa's hair is undyed. I honestly don't see what the fuss is all about. And so, I will leave my arguments as such. If that still does not convince you, then so be it, for your arguments do not convince me either that this is worth going through for ages. I will respond no more. |

sorry no offense..I asked a question earlier and seems like no one even bother to answer me... Where did you get Death Note Movie 2? Seems like it was already out sometime last year (I asked this earlier when was it out, and no one didn't bother to answer me)....Did I ask something that's not allowed?
Feel free to ban me if I did. Thanks |

I just watched the first movie.
I actually quite enjoyed it. I thought the production values and acting was quite good. Sure there would always be cheesy deaths, but I that didn't detract from what was good movie and excellent introduction to the series. I'm looking forward to watch the anime from start. |

Firstly:
I much preferred how the second movie resolved things versus how the anime and manga went about the twist. It made out L to be far more of a genius and having a genius outwit a genius instead of one just going stupid suddenly. However, I found the movie pretty bland otherwise. Secondly: Quote:

However, I do wish The Last Name had gone differently, in that I think it would have been cool to have three or (if needed) four movies, and cover everything. I'm just sad that Mello will never have a movie appearance. I figure that's why L eats so many chocolate bars in the movies---someone working on the movies was a Mello fan XD I mean, c'mon. L never eats chocolat bars in the series...He's obviously channeling Mello XD |

I don't know the exact details, but from what I heard, i think it's pretty similar. Actually, for reasons I won't go into right now due to possible spoilers, I may even like the movie better. Let's just hope that the rumors I heard were false.
If the ending of the series DOES suck as bad as the movies, though, I don't know what I'll do. This series is too awesome to "delete" as you put it...but......ah. Wah. ^^' |

I liked the movie's ending far, far better than the manga ending. Granted it was short due to time constraints, it still felt much better than the atrocious manga ending. They also made Naomi Misora's death a bit better in the movies IMO. - she doesn't just hand over her name to Light.
