I'd rather Chisato was lounging on the chair and Satsuki sitting on the side.

I had to say something about this comment. That's crazy talk.

Satsuki's body needs that attention since it's far superior to Chisato's in every way. That's like saying, put Tarisa on the lounge chair and place Yui in the background. (Muv Luv Total Eclipse reference)

You can't deny or hold back Satsuki's figure. No one can.

That is the closest case. And even then they were not seen on the same screen nor in Yuuki's sight at the same time.

Naturally Chisato would know who Satsuki is, but as far as I know, there's no actual direct encounter between the two girls (shown on screen) nor did Yuuki ever mention the name Chisato (or any other girl for that matter sans Hazuki) towards Satsuki.

Perhaps this contrast is intentional. I also didn't think of a triangle effect because Yuuki hasn't been seen thinking about one while with the other. (even ep 3's Chisato nagging was a "I caught you grinning regarding Satsuki" rather than Yuuki mentioning Satsuki at Chisato (other than generic "election vs Satsuki" stuff and even then I don't think Yuuki directly mentions her!)

Oh right my small point is that only Hazuki is like directly pointing out linkage or girl preference. If Yuuki is thinking of a girl after a small event then that's been Isara (finger sucking or smell).

Still, it does seem like the show does show contrasting valid relevance of each of the two girls, without any direct meeting. (of course I must realize that Satsuki hanging out or merely encountering the food club members objectively doesn't make too much sense anyways).

Hence again, while I don't really read love triangle stuff, among the few I've seen, usually there's like acknowledgement and awareness of the issue. (hence it works for Yuuki/Chisato/Mifuyu but not really Satsuki). Or maybe there are variations on the triangle theme.

Remember, Yuuki saying to Chisato what he did in ep 8 was also to like "separate interpretations". Anyways many different ways to look at the things that happened its quite interesting!

I think some people are overthinking about preferences, because i think the anime version of Oojima Yuuki is just into large breasts (Hazuki, Satsuki and Isara) XD

It is indeed true that Satsuki has been "isolated" from Chisato in the anime. This is hardly a spoiler but the 2 have personally met and confronted each other a few times in the game, so the anime is doing this intentional.

But it's the lady's character that is her true charm that will capture every men's heart....

And you don't have much greater character and charisma than Satsuki.

It is kind of unfair, but Satsuki's character is really high, her intelligence is really high, her supportiveness is really high, her charm is really high, and her body is skyrocket high. In most real life cases, this really is a no-brainer decision. But we are in anime world, so we get to play around a bit.

It applies to every women... It depends now on man's taste for their preference....

If you think its Satsuki... then its you're preference...
If I think it's Chisato... then it's my preference..

..if the others thinks of the other girls then that's it. They all have their own charms...

Anyway... the Millions Dollar Question is

What is Yuuki's preference?

Based on the anime without taking the original into account , Satsuki is probably the most developed of all the heroines though.

Back on topic, it is true that each person will view different characters differently, but certain aspects of the characters are undeniable. The general consensus usually can tell who has made more intelligent moves, and who is a more desireable person. However, you are right that each individual have different preferences as to what is more desireable to them. (For example, the charms of dimwitted Yoshimoto in Oda Nobuna, who lacks intelligence in so many ways )

I take it I'm in the minority who really likes Chisato, always loved childhood type characters with a strong bond to the MC without bring intrusive on the bonds the MC makes with other girls, I feel that the anime has done that very well similar to Characters like Ringo (Air Gear) and Isana (Yumekui Merry)

Me too...Chisato was the reason why I feel in love with this anime and she will always me my favorite...

I like her because she's actually a believable childhood friend and love interest candidate. You don't find that too often without reading one of Gosho Aoyama's works.

Granted, I still like Satsuki, but Chisato was my initial draw.

So, I'm considering adding this anime to the list that I'm following because I liked the premise and the beautiful character designs, but after watching the first episode, the hit & run in the beginning really threw me off.. that's why I'm here for some questions/advice:

Is this Anime going to treat that as another "here's a traumatic/serious moment used for dramatic effect and then we'll gloss over it later and it'll have no serious or real consequences because this is a comedy" plot device or is it going to do a change of tone and seriously deal with it (like is someone going to go to jail for that?)

I'm kind of sick and tired of comedic animes making light of serious matters (and warping young minds about consequence and cause & effect) along the way!
