Really busy, and spent all day with Anita as she'll be returning home tomorrow, and then I got a surprise drag into downing Magtheridon (T4 Chest GETTO! ), so no time to break backlog Epically; I've seen what everyone's done, and it's so sad that today I can't make it to be active...

But its okay, I believe. Because for us, I know that there is a next year.

For we have gone beyond being just a thread for fanfiction lunatics. We've become a community, and created a place in cyberspace where we can belong. In the messy chaos of the Internet, this microcosm of just us being here is definitely something. And in the Asian definition, or even Aboriginal definition, we've come this far to become family, brothers bonded by the electronic Talissera Blade of Blacklog forged in the flames of Nanoha's Starlight Breaker.

Through out this year, we have lost several acquaintances, and some comrades, but gained so many more. Despite our arguments, my bad jokes and even worse Khrack, I do hope that this one year has been an experience for everyone.

So today, I propose a toast to the pepetuated longevity of the OC Thread. Let's toast to the never-ending flow of blessings promised by Bluecheesium. Let's toast to the resilience of our people and our inspiration. Let's toast to the burning wills to pierce through backlog and into tomorrow forever! Let's toast to us!

Let us not lose our way for too long. Let us agree to disagree. And most importantly, let us have fun. For another year, the year after, the year after...

For today, it is a special day. Today, we affirm once again that we exist because we made it happen. Today, we remember the fallen, praise the living and encourage the fighting. And today, the 8th of May, we celebrate Outer Cadia's...

Well i can tell you that it's not exactly easy to write it either.
But I think I lack the knack for action scenes, looking at my first chapter. Then again, it's a bit hard to make EPIC out of one lich steamrolling a bunch of hapless mage-wannabes.
...actually, the image of the poor mages walking into davrams tower and subsequently getting squished by a huge steamroller held by davram going WRYYY does sound epic... or atleast hilarious

On the SAFA thing, it's pretty much hinted that Nanoha is perhaps the most powerful or at the very least, among the highest tiers in her unit. That doesn't demean the strength of other SAFA instructors though, since they're supposedly the elite air mages among the elite air mages who are already an elite of their own. Presumably, they're all probably AAA rankers and above. Nanoha did say Vita would fit in quite nicely among the instructors after all. There's probably minimal gap.

All the more reason I'd say the threat levels in Nanohaverse is still :eyeroll: especially when the incidents can be solved by 10 to 20% of the elites alone.

Just be mindful of the pros and cons of melee vs ranged. Still, as Ark and TK must be kicking themselves now, since Barrier Jackets work better against spells than melee attacks, that means that melee can be viable.

My melee tends to take place in buildings and shit. Notice in Five Minutes that Franz went with beamfire first, closed the gap, then went melee.

Also, my mentioning of Tempest is due to him being a 40k fan. Notice how in that context I mentiond Kha, TK and Kagerou and the 40k fans who turned Haruhi into the God-Empress (and Myssa Rei uses Inquisition schools of thought - Almathian, etx etc - to describe Haruhists). It was an eyeroll at 40k.

Setting: MC 86, on the home planet of the Remnant Belkan Empire.

It was a long day for Yagami Hayate. She resented so much of this delegation mission - the length, the rush, the fact that the actual purpose of the mission was minor bureaucratic details that she really didn't care about...it seems like she was sent here just to give her some busywork...oh well.

She was suprised at the rulers of the planet...the Lords. For the most part, they were young mages, just like her...even the "Pontifex" was just a few years older than she was. He certainly had a captivating face...white hair, deep blue eyes, and a look of regality. I guess being a "king" does that for you...

As she washed up and prepared for bed, she thought of tommorrow - more annoying bureaucratic work. God, why wouldn't they let her just go back to Midchilda and relax?

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door to her quarters.

"Who's there?" Hayate asked, suprised. Who would want to come at...she looked at the time...6:00 in the evening? She definitely thought it was a lot later.

She opened the door...and looked directly into the eyes of Pontifex Vivali Zeltisberg.

"H-h-hello your Lordship. What is it you wish to see me about?" Hayate stammered, wondering why in the world he would want to see her.

"Hmm...nothing really. But you seemed like you didn't want to be here. Does my kingdom displease you?" Vivali asked.

"Not at all...but I'm just a bit tired." Hayate answered.

"From all the work I take it...I understand. In any case, may I come in?" Vivali asked.

Hayate thought for a long moment. His eyes...they looked so deep, she felt that he could see right into her.

"Okay then," Hayate said.

I'm not on anyone's side here, but when someone says "end the fight", you end it, WITHOUT getting in not so subtle sideswipes.

I'd have an argument against Erio; he didn't do much. Subaru definitely proved herself taking down Ginga. Teana is obvious. Caro is iffy for me.
