Well how about that...Najin White Shield 3-0 the KT Arrows....where the hell was this team the last few months? Terrible in Champions Summer and NLB? Only good at winning in the late game the previous 2 splits? Don't know how they're suddenly in form, but good on them. Ggoong and Save are darn good at their roles. Hachani had an absolute nightmare of a night for the Arrows.

Guess I was wrong about the Arrows. Thought they had finally come of age but their tendency to throw re-emerged at the worst time. Some of their comps were confusing to boot. Instead NWS seem to have stepped up exactly when they need it.

Najin White Shield are likely the favourites in tomorrow night's match against SK Telecom.

Tomorrow's set is Najin White Shield vs KT Arrows. While Shield seem to have picked things up a bit, I don't see any glaring as to why the KT Arrows won't beat them.

KTA's inability to consistently successfully convert gold leads cost both game 1 and 3, allowing Shield to sweep them 3-0 and eliminate them. And felt like Shield's support was just a ton better than Arrow's support.

I really think Shield looks to be in a position to take SKT down easily now with how both teams looked so recently.

Game 1 was close for a long time, but the clutch baron snipe from Nidalee and Ori combo over the wall really swung the game for White Shield and the successfully kept it up after that. And the baron dance to get winions to take an inhibitor turret, and nexus turret later for Shield was impressive.

Game 2 a disastrous team fight for KTA after they went too deep for first blood, gets them aced, and Shield has excellent control in the game, and kept their lead all game, and were able to snowball and swiftly end it after Ggoong gets a PENTAKILL on Zed, the Janna/Zed combo really came thru for them.

Game 3 KTA got a good lead from early game bot lane teamfight, but they played their comp poorly and let Shield makes really good picks especially with Ahri and get back into the game despite the early gold gap, and throw their lead a few times, until Shield took control of the game and starting taking objective after objective, and ended the game.

Their bot lane is fine. Top is definitely the most likely to change. Jungle might as well. Monte will be furious about this. That's if he even wants to remain their coach.

Nah, I think mid is changing. All CLG top lanes have been mediocre because of their strat to abandon them. Doublelift or link will most likely change.

If they're looking to be on a more competitive team, yes.

Link is one of their best players replacing him would be no easy feat and I think dropping him would go worse than TSM dropping Xspecial, imo I think their Jungle is one of their weaker players currently.

Shield looked amazing against SKT even, only dropping a single game, I think they have potential after seeing them go 9-1 overall that they have a real chance of being the world champions, I sure wouldn't want to be one of the teams who has to face them in the group stages, even in games where they should get out scaled and lose in late game theoretically they play their comps is such a flawless wain they win regardless of it, and have some of the absolute best minion manipulation skills I've seen on any team in pro league play.

Honestly I'd be happy to see shield, white, or blue end up winning worlds personally, and I am really curious if there are any teams from other regions that can actually match up against them.

Jungle is a hard slot to fill in North America, though. Could they really replace Dexter so easily?

Najin White Shield prevail 3-1. Game 1 was a gem. Watch's pick onto Piglet was classic. Faker's Baron steal on Xerath in Game 4 was flashes of his best but with Bengi and Mandu being sub-par, NWS were always the more likely to prevail.

That leaves 3 NA slots and 2 China slots to fill.

Some users were saying that LMQ got booed during the games, but I didn't hear any on my stream.

For support mains:

How do you normally start out warding during the laning phase?

My starting items are usually coin-ward-biscuit x2-warding trinket. At the beginning of the game, I'll tell my ADC that I'll ward the river and it's his responsibility to ward whichever lane brush he wants with his trinket until I get my sightstone up.

I'll ward the river brush at ~3:15 and then trinket ward it at ~6:15 after the first ward disappears. I'll usually have the sightstone up at first back around the 7 min mark, just before the trinket expires.

Most high level supports, however, don't seem to ward the river early and instead focus almost exclusively on warding the lane brushes.

Is there something that I'm not seeing?

Really depends on the duo you're versing. Most of them will require permanent warding of the lane in solo queue. You should NEVER assume your lane partner will have the foresight to dodge skillshots.

My usual pattern is:

- Ward the lane brush from trinket shortly after the other duo arrives. Important to prevent Thresh/Leona/Alistar/Morgana/Braum/Blitzcrank/Karma from becoming a lane bully. Also makes Nami/Janna/Sona moves more predictable. Alternate lane wards from trinket between support and ADC so that there is always vision.
- Get a river ward when it's safe to. Aka you won't leave your lane partner to be vulnerable to a trigger happy lane. And there is no point getting one in river if you're permanently pushed. Putting one in the tri-brush would be more appropriate under those circumstances.
- Sightstone first item back always if I have 800 or more gold. Switch trinket to Sweeping Lens on same back. Ward tri-brush, river at dragon and a lane brush.

Mid and top are easier for junglers to gank early. So hence why you see more focus on lane warding at higher level. Also because since junglers know higher level bot laners will be more aware of the river ganks, they tend to go for ganks via lane. Hence why you need lane wards. If you watch the pro scene, you will have seen plenty of games featuring lane ganks in bot early due to a short window of not having the vision that allowed the enemy jungler to slip in and pounce when the support goes in to ward.
