Finally got around to watching Iron Man 2. Wasn't as good as I was expecting, think I enjoyed the first more.

Just saw Fallen 2006 though it also classified as a mini series was released in movie format . Its basically about Nephilim,Fallen Angels and Angels . The plot is somewhat cliche but the story or telling is very interesting . CG left a lot to be desired also special effects at time do seem lame . But its way way better then the current movies to have angels with them

I will have a concrete opinion once I am done with part 2 and part 3 . Also lot of familiar faces in this series .

Pom Pom and Hot Hot (yes that's really the English title of this movie though like a lot of Hong Kong movie titles it's not a direct translation of the Chinese title)

An okay 1992 buddy movie. My main issue with the movie is the pacing. It meanders a lot with scenes and subplots that are irrelevant to the plot and don't add anything interesting like the romance between the hero and the Mainland immigrant Cha Shi. For a short 1 hour 30 minute movie, it feels longer than it actually is at times.

On the other hand, it has some of the craziest and most awesome shootouts of any movie I've ever seen especially the climactic gunfight where the

reaches astronomical levels.

Most of it involves the police chief Shooter Yin who is different from almost any other police chief character in a cop movie in that he's actually more badass than the main heroes and comes very close to completely stealing the heroes' thunder.

If you aren't insistent on realistic gun handling (this movie runs on rule of cool) you'll be in for a treat.

And here's a clip from one of the crazy shootouts:

Well not as good as the first but still ok movie with cheap budget . The storyline is cliché but well the gore was there

A Team

Watched the A Team and boy it was an action packed extravaganza from start to finish . My Favorite >>Scene<< in the movie has to be the Helicopter chase at the start .

If this movie was a stand alone and not connected in any way to the original .It would have been one of the best action movies in a decade . Reminds you the golden age of Arnold Sly & Van . The actions sequences in this movie are simply astonishing and the pacing is just perfect . Its a well crafted movie the only downside is the finale is not that grand in comparison with the movie .

If I had to pick faults they would be Bosco feels different they have not adapted the originals moniker . Quinton Jackson has his charm but is no Mr T . Also Liam Neeson is once again wasted . The last movie which did his abilities justice would be Taken .

If I had to rate the movie for pure entertainment factor I would give it 4/5 Stars .

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans. A bit so-so, nothing spectacular, though it did have its LOL and WTF moments. Nicolas Cage does an epic effort though.

In the last 2 days, also saw The A Team. I would have people keep in mind that the TV show should be blocked from your memories when watching this film. It is different, a different crowd, vibe and though funny in many instances it is very over the top. Helicopter chase was cool.. the tank though :/ meh because it is a little too much of a good thing imo. Sharlto Copley did a good job, he didn't do many roles yet, most famous would still be District 9 but he's getting there. Liam Neeson is pretty much alike to Liev Schreiber right now, those 2 get milked into anything they can get their hands on good or bad it doesn't matter to them. However most roles do not do these men any justice and I agree on Liam's last real performance being Taken.

I also saw The Losers a little while ago, fun movie very cliché though. It was good entertainment, based on a comic series obvious because as a film some things simply do not make sense and have been blocked out to make the plot work. Great entertainment but not if you actually want plot or anything like that. Simple blow stuff up, beat people up. I was surprised with the rating, figured it would be a movie in which people do not get shot and do not get killed but I was wrong about that one,it was very enjoyable the way it is

Saw Salt last week, the film was "okay". Action scenes were nice, the whole betrayel parts as well however the thing was just lacking sense in one way or the other.

Watched "Wanted (Weapons of Fate)" this weekend.... a couple of hours of my life I'd like back. Had some exciting moments, but it was a derivative premise, poor exposition, short on explanation (and when they did explain it was "writers-failed-science" level junk, it didn't even work as 'fantasy physics/magic'). It probably appealed to a 12 year old but I'd hope that most 12 yr olds would recognize it as a C- grade movie. It was kind of appalling that they got Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman involved.

Wife-unit reviewed as "part Matrix part Batman part Star Wars spiced with 'crappy' "

In short, it made Tomb Raider look like classy art

Red Cliff was so good! I think that was the first movie in theaters that was split into two parts! It was so frustrating! Now everyone's copying them D:

I saw Danton, a French movie about Georges Danton during the french revolution. Had to watch it for Euro history. It was pretty interesting because the actors were speaking french and we had to read the subs There's also this absolutely hilarious looking guy on the Committee of Public Security that looks somewhat like an evil clown...

Piranha.

And it sucked BIG TIME. Just threw in babes in their undies and a couple of flesh-eating, ancient-that-you-don't-know-how-they-survived marine species and you got yourself a movie. Yes, apparently, they called it a movie.

But then again, I suppose this movie was for viewing purposes only? (hence in 3D) If that was the case, then I will set aside my rants.

To all those who went and watched P3D, why did you do this to yourselves?
As for me, I watched "13" (Riley, Rourke, Statham, etc.) and dare I say, it makes Piranha 3D look like a masterpiece!!!
Spoiler for 13 review:

Boobs weren't even 3D !

The 3D was really pointless in this movie. You could distinguish the background and the foreground, but there were rarely "items" moving between them.

Recently I have been watching an old CBS television series called The Equalizer. This classic mid-80s detective series features Edward Woodward (best known as the star of The Wicker Man, as well as a series of great English television series and films) as former CIA/MI6/FBI/Secret Agent (it is never quite clear as to the specific organization he worked for, but it was definitely covert) Robert McCall who lends a helping hand against the darker forces at work in New York City. What makes this show unique amongst the many 80s detective series, are the very dark storylines (often ending in the death of whichever "villain" McCall was after), and the large amount of future great television actors (just a partial list of notable cast members, Laurence Fishburne, Oliver Platt, Patricia Richardson, William H. Macy, Ed O’Neil, Steve Buscemi, Olympia Dukakis, Michael Moriarty, Chris Cooper, Michael Rooker, Charles S. Dutton, Ving Rhames, Tony Shalhoub, and Stanley Tucci (and this is only a sample of the many many guest stars that have appeared on the show - nearly every episode features a fairly prominent guest star that either was big or made it big later)). Added to that is the great theme song from Stewart Copeland (one fo the members of The Police).
