Yeah, I've been trying to fix the border part because I've easily realized how huge a lot of them are on most of the newer ones. They looked small when I made them, but for some reason when I uploaded them it looked like they grew a size or three o_O

And thanks for the info to, I'll keep it in mind!

You're using a bit or too much light in almost all of your signatures. From what I'm seeing, you are not setting them correctly in the Layers and your not blending them right. You want some parts to be light, and other parts to be dark.

You can, for example, duplicate the anime character few times and set the first duplicate to Multiply, Filter and blur it, set Opacity between 20-70% (the way you see it fit best), erase some parts from a side - imagine the sun is hitting them, so you want to control the dark corners from where the sun is not hitting them. Does that make sense? You can do similar things to the other duplicates to control other parts and make them darker. You can use different Adjustment layers, set Blend Mode to something good, lower Opacity, and erase some parts. These are common skills you can work with. Erase any blur effects on the character's eyes and you want one of your duplicates to just focus on their eyes to use Filter > Sharpen and lower opacity.

Other methods I can give to control lights and darks (and this is especially great for the edges around character's body) - make a new layer, Paint Bucket the layer with pure White and set Blend Mode to Color Burn. Now, you can use any type of brush set with any type of color (except pure white) and watch how you can darken corners in the image. The other one is to make a new layer, Paint Bucket the layer with pure black color and set Blend Mode to Screen. Now grab any color you want and brush it anywhere on that layer and watch it lighten the areas you touch. If you're a novice user, start practicing this by going on the edges of the character(s). It's good practice to get a better idea of how these tools work.
