we already knew that people lived on as spirits (ahmey etc) so why is it so difficult for people to accept gil and neeba as spirits?
Neeba is probably a spirit. But a spirit like that is no different than being alive at all. But i think he is saved by the succubus and is actually alive. She appear to be diminished in size which suggest she exerted her power for something.

And people that make anime have come to realize this too. that is why you are seeing a lot of unresolved love triangle in shows or they resolve the love triangle in an OVA so it doesn't affect the DVD sales.

It's more like Tossing the 'rejects together' than a true 'X'.

And episode 13 is on in a few o_O ? Wonder what they'll do.

I'd guess a recap episode, but we should know soon enough. Almost makes me glad I got a CR subscription.

Or when he got the druaga spirit, he became immortal, like old king Gilgamesh.

Clicked on the Episode 13 and got "No video found".

So CR screwed up again.

Unless it magically appears we can discount any episode 13.

we don't really know that, as far as i could tell they might just as well be invisible to everybody.

also i think you are reading a bit too deeply into the fact she was chibified XD
but, hey i would love to get a third season, so i'm hoping we will find out i was wrong :P

btw it just occured to me, but isn't it kinda unfair the way that when gil killed druaga he got immortal but when jil beat him\neeba nothing happened to him?
i'd say this is pretty odd, i mean sure, it could just be that neeba didn't fall too much to "the dark side" but i think its still kinda odd.

Finally got around to watching the final episode...

You can really tell that Gonzo's animation studio going belly up screwed the ending to Druaga pretty badly. It was basically "going through the motions" with a lot of jumbled stuff being thrown together into the last episode very quickly and no real closure. A lot of loose ends, which I guess we might find out more about now in the MMO if it actually does come out.

Last year they said summer of 2009, so we'll see if GDH still has the cash to put out a (good) game by then.

EDIT: Did some Googling and found out the game has already apparently been playable (I assume in beta form?) for the last 6 months or so. The graphics are considerably worse than I thought they would be. And I'm terrible at kanji, but apparently on the site there is some links to Nexon, so I don't know if they are just partnering, or if Nexon has any direct role in helping them develop the game. (Nexon makes Maple Story, Mabinogi, etc)

It's kind of funny to see so much serious dissection of a series that has resolutely taken itself un-seriously from the very beginning. I always felt Druaga was walking a thin line between laughing at it's viewers and laughing with them, much as I see Sengoku Basara stating to do (admittedly in what's likely to be a much more elegant manner) but that can be a powerful thing when finessed properly - just look at Andy Kaufman and Sasha Baron Cohen. In any case, Druaga was always about mocking what it portrayed on screen, even if it did a good job making you care about the characters - so lay off the analysis and just accept the ending for the silly anachronism that it was. And no, Neeba and Gil aren't alive - they're ghosts, already...

Finally got around to finishing Season 2. I was quite happy with the show as a whole actually and I really liked the ending. I'll spoiler it anyway just in case anyone hasn't seen it.

Spoiler:

Anyway, definitely liked it. I'd give both seasons an 8.5ish or so out of 10 personally.
