Much like the first series I get none of the references since I've never read lovecrafts stuff, but I continue to find a mass amount of enjoyment from it

I realise this is like at the furthest point from Lovecrafts actual stuff, but either way it's an awesome setting. So far I'd say this season is definately stronger than last season if only for Kuuko being so amazing <33

The scenario played out, ultimately, in a generally-predictable manner, but with this show it's always a matter of how hilariously they'll get there.

So... is having the fourth wall broken this much supposed to feel this good?

Nyarko W 03 - P's Great Library/Did You Know It's Getting a Blu-Ray Rerelease?

I thought those dudes in the library last week looked a little W-ish, and this week layered the references to ShoPhil's adventures on pretty heavy. Including a direct reference to one of the ending themes. I was hoping Nyarko might find a way to turn into CJGX (or maybe even CAX), but that's naught but an extreme dream. Seeing Hastur unlock his true power was kind of cool, too. And of course, the anticlimax. Just an interstellar version of the WWF (the nature organization, not the wrestling one) - their causes are good, but misguided. I also loved Nyarko trying to turn herself into a living Saburo Hatte, trying to end the show with everything possible, including killing off her co-stars and finally following through on her pregnancy. Such a treat, this show.

Okay, I got the Library Wars reference in Episode 2, but I couldn't help wondering if the Vashta Nerada would make an appearance.

I have to wonder. If Mahiro does marry Nyarko, will their kids look human? I will find it hard to believe they would be human like.

Some believe that it'll generally be messy for the first few years, at least until the shapeshiting between forms has been mastered.

No matter how many times it happens, I keep forgetting that every random piece of stupid incidental dialogue is always going to turn out to be "foreshadowing" (if you want to give it that much credit) for the arc's conclusion.
