I enjoy this series and it was nice to finally see Index do something amusing and kick some butt...a little. But man, do the writers not have a real plot or something, or are they just going episode to episode? There is almost nothing to this series. Characters are stupid, they do stupid things, too much talking, ahh too many things. So, Index still doesn't know she can use magic? At least towards the end of the series it was pretty good, Index was kind of awesome and music fit well.

From what I figure this season has been a gathering of the "Kamijyo" faction and introduction to the world it is all taking place in. I dont think the story has truly taken off yet, and probably wont till the second season.

But your right in that this series has only dealt with intermitent problems and no ultimate direction as of yet.

Well, I haven't been amused since Accelerator arc.
This episode was good. There's no more centering around Touma... as much.
I hope what others said about story taking off later is true.

So glad to Index in action. ''Summoning Golem'' is celtic magic so I guess Sherry
cromwell is Scott.

Objection! The Golem is a creation of Jewish folklore, therefore Sherry Cromwell is Jewish.

But '' Golem'' is in ''Celtic Myth'' too. Celtic legend also tells of a cauldron that was useful to warring armies. They lacked the power of speech. It was suspected that they lacked souls and called ''Golem''.Morever, she has blond hair so I considerd
she is European.

European, yes, but the lines she was using in the previous episode were more akin to Jewish folklore then Celtic mythology.

I'd love to see a magic style based on Celtic mythology though. Single god religions never seem to catch my interest, I prefer to be able to call upon multiple deities.

This is anime. Blond hair only means she's foreign.

A Greek god for every occasion, yo. Zeus could take on an archangel no problem.

Thor wields thunder and a hammer. :3 Norse Mythology is my personal favorite when it comes to mythology. I don't know enough Celtic mythology yet, but the few scraps I've learned so far are very intriguing.

And don't forget she's Black too. I wonder if the English dub will give her an English accent like Styil's and Aleister?

A Jew? From the English Church? My head hurts now.

Cromwell could be Scottish but is far more likely to be English (the source of the surname) possably of Indian desent as she is refered to as being brown.

No, i just hoping that when a US company licenses this series, they give all of the English characters English accents.

Her magic is based on Christian Kabbalah, so she's actually a Jewish Christian Mystic.

OMG YES! I was waiting for this. I know it's incredibly cheesy, but I think that Touma is starting to be like his old self again, passionate in his beliefs about what he thinks is right, even against long odds. Hyouka isn't exactly human, but Touma defends her anyway.

I really loved this episode. Good action, great theme. 10/10

"Even if we can't *cough* touch, you're still my friend." I feel your pain, Touma. ;_;

Though he already touched her with his other hand, so don't worry Touma. Maybe you can... um... put a glove on. For protection.

Kind of made me remember the tough spot Index is in here. If she knows she can use magic that makes her insanely overpowered. All that knowledge and the ability to use it would just let her own everything that comes up . But not knowing she can use some magic makes it so she can't do much. Still managed to have her best moment in a very long time.

Seems like its friend to the rescue. Misaka gets to have the rest of the day off .

She has them, she just doesn't know she can cast them. Nobody seems keen on telling Index "oh, by the way, you can use magic."
