I'm not sure; I'm betting something tokusatsu-like. RX-78's jump is similar to Uso's though.

yeah, most gundams are dwarves compared to other mechs and super robots^^
but i think that just makes the franchise more realistic. the standard 18m gundams are just about as tall as most modern fighter planes are long.

You do know that He don't need gundam Age 2 for Age system right?
(He can just connect it with gundam Age 1 or Age 3, he was just little embarrassed to say Asemu name instead of Age)

Nice. Reminds of this one, with a similar Marida reaction. Must be the same artist.
Spoiler for sign of the red comet:

Indeed, been trying to find a decent mech anime for a while but most of them have stupid looking mechs.

If more mech shows decided to follow Gundams example and stopped doing super robots the genre as a whole might be more intresseting.

The closest mech show in my opinion to Gundam is Super Robot Wars and that show is also annoying when they decide to shout out their attacks like if it was dragonball.

So you think that cutting off half a genre will result in less stupid mechs and more interesting series? You want everything to look like Gundam and have the same storylines? That every main mecha will be blue and white, main character is most likely a kid, every other series will have a colony drop, masked man etc.?

Super robots have experimented much more than real robots in both design and plot. When you try to keep it real, you just get mecha in a war story between humans. In fact after the UC series ended, the Gundam series itself has been going closer to being a super robot genre, as much as the original MSG itself. Also Code Geass itself is more super than real.

I suppose these can go here

Game I play is bringing out some rather Gundam-esque costume pieces :3 Lead designer is a known mecha fan . Though the first one gives a Eva vibe
