--It's ironic how Romeo and Juliet, I mean, Alto and Ranka's happy moments always come at a price.
Now I get why the Macross Frontier website calls the series a:
"Love & Friendship & Planetary Fate
criss-crossed Super Galactic Love Story"
This is just going to get better in the future.
--It turned out that Ranka wasn't a quarter Zentradi, but a quarter Vajra lol j/k Her body composition definitely is special. I also had the impression that there was a vajra inside her when her belly glowed--as ridiculous as that sounds. I
really hope she doesn't die in the end or have to part with Alto or something. Alto and her really get along too well, and if I were a twisted writer and want to create an unforgettable forbidden romance, I'd definitely do the latter scenario
Atleast just make it seem that way.
--That BGM playing when Ranka tied Alto's hair was the sweetest sounding BGM I heard from the show. That was such an adorable scene.
The first time I heard the spoiler, I kind of expected that this is the farthest they're going to get. Thankfully it did. (The spoiler sure exaggerated about the "long talk" so I thought it would have more focus
How misleading. )But that little talk of them was really meaningful and it accentuated how special Alto is to Ranka. It's nice that the communication is two-way now.
--Hearing Ranka call Alto an idiot for once is also healthy.
--No matter how I look at it, Alto is just prettier than Ranka. This is the first time we saw Alto's hair down and I think he has better hair than Sheryl. He didn't even use any shampoo.
--The cute green thing is growing arms. I feel like it's going to grow into something ugly later on. Gosh, I hope not.... -__- I wanted him for a pet.
--Brera is a dreamboat--oniichan or cyborg or whatever. He's just too badass. I'm gonna have a problem if he dies later on, especially now that we're going to delve into his background next episode. I want that screenshot of little Brera from Ranka's flashback....Loli Alto has competition.
--Fear the LAI technology. Grace transformations here gross me out. So implanted people in Galaxy are bionicles like her? I'm surprised Sheryl didn't even notice that her manager is in that planet about to be destroyed. Seeing that she has no idea of Grace's motives, is she that confident that Grace's implants will save her from a self-destructing planet?
--Either way, I commend Sheryl for respecting what Alto wants her and Mikhail to do. The vibe I got from Sheryl in this episode is that she's a good friend to Alto. Mikhail does a good job meriting her lol Looks like she made another buddy.
--What I want to know is what will that "hate" stemming from Galactic's Fairy's death and 33rd fleet result to. Who are they trying to mess with? This may be all a terrorist threat to Frontier or something.
--Ranka's mother, I feel like I was listening to Aeris Gainsborough lol I wonder if she's really her mom since they have different hair color and Ranka's hair is so different from her family. Atleast Brera's is yellow-greenish.
--Regarding the Macross they found, I'm proud to say that I was right at the part that it has something to do with the 117th research fleet. The baby vajra might be from planet Galia as well. I'll understand better once the subs come out. Same for Leon and Luca's conversation.
--It's also interesting to note how much Alto cares for Ranka here. Looking at his nonchalant attitude to her in episodes 5-9 & 11, seeing him this desperate kind of balances Ranka's desperation for his attention earlier on.
