I think it's quite clear from those "hand-cuffs" that the new Skullman is Kirilo's former boyfriend, it's shown that he has those strange hand-cuffs and pulled something over his head in a dark room, and later the Skullman appeared with those hand-cuffs.

Now it seems US is going to invervene.

By now (episode 7), pretty much everything is explained. All that's left is for the Skull Man to finally get his revenge and to see what will happen to everyone else.

The only thing I'm not clear on is: was Jin supposed to kill Kuroshio's son by activating the two creatures, or was it a set-up and the two creatures were supposed to kill him?

The thugs from ep. 0 and 7 were from the Church apparently. Who would have thought that?

The mutant in ep 0 was a Church bred one. The scientist was working for the military and defecting to an unknown group (possibly the third group).

There is a plot to create mutants for some reason. The Church and Ootomo Pharmaceutical company have an allegiance and are knocking off pro-military people or people that will do them harm eventually. The fire at the Kagura pharm company was so that the scientist there could be killed and his research stolen. Kagura Pharm used the religion as a cover to develop mutants.

The "Military" is also creating mutants prob as bioweapons unfortunately their mutants are "defective". The Pharm company has an uneasy relationship with the military.

There is a third group that is also working on mutant production and observiing the situation there. The original Skullman who finally got a speaking role may be one of their experiments who escaped.

So the killers were:

Ep. 0: Real Skull Man
Ep. 1: Real Skull Man
Ep. 3: Yui's killer = Jin , Sayoko's killer = Real Skull Man
Ep. 4: Suzuki (Yui's extra partner from ep 3 pic)'s killer = Jin, Skull Man shooter on train = Jin .( I don't think that Usami could have survived that fall.)
Ep. 5: Usami's killer = Jin (thanks for the help Zushio )
Ep. 6: Mayor's killer = Jin
Ep. 7: Attempted murder of Oosato = Jin, Attempted murder of Kuroshiro = Jin, Murder of defective mutants = Skull Man and company, Murderer of Jin = Church thug

The one that killed Usami is also Jin. This is proved for several reasons, the first being that Usami was obviously becoming a thorn in the side of the Ootomo people who control the fake Skull Man (Jin). Second, the real Skull Man has been shown to do his actual killing with blades, not guns. Third, a slightly subtle thing, and that is that the fake Skull Man doesn't wear the scarf and neither does the one that shoots Usami. I actually noticed this as soon as we got a body shot of the gun-weilding one. The real Skull Man has the scarf, but the fake doesn't.

Anyway, I really love this series thus far, and hope that it continues to be of such a high caliber.

Episode 8 has been released. All that we really learn is a little bit more about Rena and Tetsurou.

i m still kinda lost in that show even though thing start to get less blurry.

i think this show is better than most anime this season. pretty pleas with this "underdog anime".
it really reminds me of Kaze no Yojimbo.

I certainly hope that Nami's kid isn't the "Cocoon of Chaos". It's bad enough that the married jerk got her pregnant just for the kid. Then she gets turned into a monster and finally killed.

The meek are certainly getting stepped on in this title.

Well, this last episode was suitably depressing. With the way things are going, I also agree that we're approaching the last spurt, especially with both Hayato and Kiriko being where they are right now.

I'm really impressed with how much style this anime's got. That's BONES for ya, really

That episode was great. It was about time the real Skull Man started getting more screentime. I guess we will finally learn more about him now that both Kiriko and Hayoto are with him.

Is it just me, or did that one guy look like he was designed after 007/Great Britain from Cyborg 009? I love the small touches they add here and there like that.

All the SIRKS cyborgs are modeled after 009 characters. They retain the same voices as their counterparts in the most recent Cyborg 009 anime series.

Episode 11 was pretty sweet. The story finally comes together and pretty much all the mysteries are revealed. The stage is set for a solid finale in the remaining 2 episodes.

I picked up this anime rather randomly, but i am impressed by its style although the animation and the graphics aren't top-notch.
Ah the opening and the ending fits in well also.
It has a nice straight-forward story.
