Thanks Quarkboy. Don't worry, I will not watch Eva just for Asuka, but since I know myself I'm asking first, so to adjust my expectations as much as I can. So if I knew, just saying, that they removed any inch of the sexual/romantic tension between Shinji and Asuka I would be prepared having be pissed off in advance So I'll be able to focus on the important things.

By the way, I loved EoE.

i wouldnt trust any ofthat preview since in the 2.0 movie ending preview for 3.0 they droped all those scenes and even change from shinji and rei stucked with that spear through them to a 14 year time skip of shinji being locked in space and ayanami is missing

Already it's getting me more hyper to see the movie. Jeez. When Shinji went up and kicked some a** last movie, I was cheering the guy as he had it in him the entire time. He really cared about Rei, although a bit too much. And now he comes into in a world where 14 years have gone by. And comes to the realization as to why some familiar faces have treated him harshly, he is responsible for numerous deaths at Tokyo-3. Having something like that on your mind, is never good, he wanted to save someone close to him and this is the b**chslap due to the reality of his actions. He didn't even mean to, Shinji is pretty much one of the most harmless guys you know on the dot. It's messed up man. Hope next movie, he comes around and show us the "fire" in himself that he did before us last movie.

After all I've heard the biggest WTF Evangelion 4.0 would have is a happy ending. Not that the anime and the film got one (The TV series ended with a happy scene but it was really crazy when you kind of realize what happened after watching The End of Evangelion).

A bit unrelated with the new movie but does any adaptation ever explain why does Kaworu say that he and Rei "are the same"? In the manga he tells that to both Rei 2 and Rei 3 with the former commenting they are not exactly the same. When Shinji meets Kaworu in the manga he mentions he feels he is similar to Rei.

Also, wouldn't it be awesome if they did new version of TV series' opening for the last movie? Maybe Utada? I don't know where would it fit though.

Well, 3.0 sure seems crazy. But we are now at where Eva always ends. With a destroyed red world. Except theres still one more movie to go. So we might finally get an exploration of what could happen after something like EoE end of the world. Or it could just be one final battle to prevent 4th (the final) impact.
