Crappy japanese skillz. I needed 4 hours (!!11) for the prologue, but I made sure that I understood every tiny bit with researching and asking a lot u_u And I learned a lot of kanji readings by heart in the process lol. But can somebody confirm that this episode is longer than the 4th one, if so, I should really consider stop making myself Natsuhi-headaches

for those guys with money storehouse problem lol: why don't you just put their japanese names in your atlas' dictionary to translate them not literally but as names?

I would, but the chuckles I get from reading literal translations helps ease the headache caused by mental retranslating.

Minor plothole: Battler says in EP1 (or 2?) that he's read Higurashi. Wouldn't he recognise the name Erika Furudo? xD

well, I have no idea what translation method that guy used, but with Atlas and with some imaginary it's pretty okay to understand the most

Here's some more from me. It's fairly similar to Kamar's

Spoiler for Ep5 Spoilers:

That's it for me today. It's almost 1am here and the mental retranslating is taxing lol. Will post more tomorrow.

didn't he only say something reminded him of his "favourite novel" and there could be a few more novels where the main protagonists mother described to the protag how to commit a perfect crime.

summary: Battler didn't read higurashi, but he read another novel that had at least one or two things similar

i would go check what Battler said but i'm to lazy

You beat me to it. :P

It would be similar to meeting someone named Donald Weasley I suppose, so he might not think anything of it. However, he's also met a witch named Bernkastel, so he would have definitely noticed the parallel to Frederica Bernkastel and Rika Furude. Atleast Meta-Battler should have noticed.

Kamar: I don't know how you put up with this. Great job and seriously, El Dorado? I would have just been staring at it waiting for it to make sense.

It's the first line from the Jack Bauer song.

Rudolf is voiced by the same person who dubs Jack Bauer for 24 in Japan and sings this song.
