Other than stances, what do people who train judo do? I can't imagine it's just stances and techniques.

@ Treme - It's better if you explain it since readers don't like too many mysteries.

Also, surviving doesn't mean you're an alien. There's a trope for that called the "Action Survivor" where normals survive through sheer will or luck alone. Sam Witwicky from Transformers counts.

No, I mean the I.S. core aren't working in the first place, but someone is using alternative code to bypass the damaged section.

Remember that I.S. being only pilotable by woman? Yeah, the bug (paraphrased because it's counted as mistake) is located in the same string as that.

Also, the repaired core is less than intelligent, they're the equivalent of Idiot savant. Hence they're much weaker if you compare the spec and perks, but is enough for I.S. Frame to operate normally at 60% Capacity.

They lack unlimited ammo and damage regeneration, and their data adjustment (i.e. evolution) speed is reduced to measly 33%, and worse, all the modification based on that adjustment is have to be done manually or by borrowing the required software form other I.S. (by connecting them)

by having the OC said the mundane reason by himself and the Absurd explanation by another character who happened to be very honest and seldom lie?

@ Treme - Good enough, I suppose. Just don't make the mistake of having the character say "It's a secret" every time they ask.

Also, why would someone who doesn't have an IS be sent to ISA? If it's not an IS, they'd be kept at some kind of lab or research facility studying it.

Simple:

He lied that the machine he used is an IS.

Since they can't analyze the core due to

1) The technology is alien to the world due to only being utilized by the creator (who don't reveal the technology to the world because it is not perfect)

2) It might actually be an alien Core (add more points towards this answer).

Their Logical conclusion: It is an IS core...probably made by Tabane to testbed Akatsubaki.

As for the Prototype IS.... Read: :Excalibur Face:

How bad is she? Survival Strategy (Penguindrum style) that cause Mass Hallucination just to reveal mundane fact.

"PENGUIN IS ACTUALLY A BIRD!"
"PENGUIN CAN'T FLY!"

They can't block it either.... if they try, the Prototype IS core will be angry and start assimilating things... Only Tabane has the code to stop it but the problem is: she is still missing....

Doesn't the frame being different say anything? If there's no difference in the frame at all, then it just looks like a differently named IS from a meta perspective.

Side note - If you give CPR to someone, what medical treatment do they need afterwards? I know just giving them CPR won't save them despite what it shows.

Gender Male
Looks: 6'7" Very Stoic and Stern Face.
Alignment: Neutral. Hates IS.
Personality: Quiet, Reserved, Violent. Can be kind if approached correctly.
Powers: Uses a skin tight battle suit. It can withstand any IS weaponry (Even 4th generation weaponry) easily, and enhances strength to the point where a single punch can wipe out all of a IS's shield and potentially kill it's user. Also equipped with nanomachines, with the ability to hack into IS's and control it freely, or shut it off. The nanomachines can also be used to regenerate inhuman injuries, or materialize into weapons or objects.
Background: He is a causality conductor, somehow being transferred from a alternative universe. The alternative universe was a universe where Tabane had a vastly differently personality, resulting in IS's used in major global conflicts. Causalities were in the billions. As a result, war technology is vastly ahead then the Original Universe. Fudo is child prodigy, being both a genius and a veteran soldier. He has invented the anti-IS battle suit, and various anti-IS nanomachines. Hates IS's due to the fact that his city was literally killed by them. He was the only survivor due to his technology, and his superior physique.
Anything else you can think of: His personality is somewhat of the male counterpart of Laura, yet much more scary. Goes to the IS academy, just to reminisce about his old friends. Much of the original cast were drafted into the army in his world, and Ichika was one of his closest friends. They all died on the battlefield. Tabane and Chifuyu are the only ones who understands his real origins.

When he is first transferred to the academy, he is disgusted by how pathetic Ichika, Laura, Houki, Cecilia, Charlotte were so different from his original universe. He despises how they live so carefree, as in the original world they were all Soldiers who died fighting proud and strongly under their organizations. He cries in anger, realizing how much more this world was carefree. His anti-IS ideology starts a fight with Rin and Cecilia, which results in him nearly killing them despite them having their IS's deployed. Ichika barely manages to stop him, with Fudo stopping due to the close relationship he had with Ichika in his universe.
"You carefree mother fuckers, you may look the same, but you never will be the comrades I knew. The comrades I knew were proud, strong, and was not immature FUCKS LIKE YOU. They died proudly as soldiers, fighting for their organization. And look at you, living carefree lives in this so academy, you will never understand how I feel. Do you know what it feels like to lose all of your friends, your whole family, within minutes? Do you know the feeling of murder?"
When Chifuyu comes in to lecture him, he sheds some tears. This is due to Chifuyu being one of his military instructors since he was a child in his original universe, the one who shaped him into the person today. She was killed as a POW. Chifuyu is deeply confused to why he is crying. Fudo uses nanomachines to project the memory into Chifuyu, and show his original universe and where he was from. Chifuyu is one of the only people who maintained the same personality in his universe. Chifuyu is in shock and does not know what to say.

Note: I was bored so I mixed up a visual novel and a manga.

That's why I said "to fall down properly", meaning that training your body so it won't be injured during a Judo fight (which involves a lot of grappling and throwing).

IIRC Rolling and Flipping, if done frequently will cause you to remember how to fall in a proper stance where your body receive very minimal damage (Remember the technique I said about rolling above a speedy car to avoid massive injury? yeah, that actually works IRL)

Okay then...

I mixed up several characters.
Akira Fudo from Devilman (This isn't a typical super hero manga. It's actually fairly sad, and the ending is just depressing. Exposes weakness of human nature)
Much of the characters dark, resenting side comes generally from Akira Fudo.

Takeru from Muv-Luv Alternative (Unlike it's name, this is a visual novel that ranks up with Fate/Stay night because it's so damn good)
His patriotic, friendly, soldier like personality and ideologies comes from him.

@ gbatemper - Isn't a suit that can beat an IS like that kinda overpowered? There doesn't seem to be any weaknesses at all.

Come to his senses? Not really. He stops due to the shock of simply seeing Ichika. They were simply that close, as to the point of brothers. In his original world, Ichika wasn't such as dense idiot. He just feels a need for emotional support, as Chifuyu would be one of the only people to actually understand him. It means a lot to him that their personality stays much of the same.

It's more disturbing then you think when you see all your former comrades who were stern soldiers, now laid-back and cuddly students.

The CPR? Well, if there's no injury, there's no need to. Otherwise, following CPR is damage treatment specific to the problem.

To prevent hypothermia in case of cold water, change the clothes and use some ointment.

So the new OC is supposed to be unlikeable. Nice and fresh I'd say, not many people attempting to do so

EDIT: Even then, don't you think the difference of power level is way too high?

It is overpowered. After all, he comes from a different universe.
His weakness is simply his personality, and other small things.

Also, he doesn't always wear the suit. He materializes it when needed. Attack him when he doesn't react fast enough, and he's dead. The suit is also very straining on his body, multiplying his metabolism when in use. Prolonged use of the suit can result in dehydration, starvation, breakdown of muscle.

You need to remember, this is man who is smart as Tabane, but hates IS's and was born in the midst of war.

Generally, yes. He is not understood by pretty much everyone, and as a child soldier much more mature then the other character. He is after all, used to death, and does not fear it.

I generally like characters with these type of personality to be strong. Otherwise it would be simply comedic to see death threats and glares from a man who cannot do it, he wouldn't be threatening or have that deathly aura.

I honestly don't whether I will expand on this. I've never done a fic before so I'm really not sure.
