Historic Manga
Read so far:
-Vinland Saga -Historie -Wolfsmund Planning to read: -Übel Blatt Any Manga who are similar to this, it can include fantasy but I would prefer a more realistic approach but it doesn't have to be historically correct(None of the manga I read weren't anyway). Thanks in advance. |

Cesare is pure brilliance. Not much action though, it is more of a dramatic historical manga with the Italian Renaissance setting.
Vagabond, if you somehow haven't read it yet, is a legend of its own. Action? Action! It's Miyamoto Musashi after all. Emma is a romance, a historical romance, but one which feels so authentic you'd think the author actually went to England. It is critically acclaimed, but unlike your examples it has a very different tone. Feels like you're asking for an action seinen rather than a historical manga, but I'll recommend it anyway. By the same author as Emma is Otoyome-gatari, but this time the setting is instead 19th century Central Asia and is considerably more...exciting. It's still far from an action title or anything close, but portraying a horse nomad culture's lifestyle necessitates considerably more horseriding and archery and even a bit of tribal conflicts. |
