Maicching Machiko-sensei

Someone else seemed to want to start a discussion about this series, yet their post was purely links, anywho... this series is really old (broadcasted in '81) yet has gone unsubbed and it sounds like it could possibly be interesting

Shame of Teacher Machiko
まいっちんぐマチコ先生

This is an adaptation of Ebihara Takeshi's manga of the same name which was serialized in Gakken's Shonen Challenge back in May of 1980 and consists of 8 total volumes.

Description: taken from http://pierrot.jp/english/title/machiko.html
Quote:
New science teacher, Machiko Mai, is a young and attractive woman with healthy mind and body. Being around her makes everyone happy. Students like to play practical jokes on her, but no matter how many times they cause troubles, she does not get upset. She always tries hard to understand her students.
Students and the school board start to open themselves to her. Besides, everyone enjoys her lovable pose she hold in times of trouble. Miss Machiko cries and laughs together with her students! This is a comical and exciting school story that surely cheers you up!
Mangaka: Ebihara Takeshi

Genres: comedy, ecchi

Wikipedia Entry:

=============

It is an ecchi-based comedy series, in which the protagonist is professor Machiko-sensei, who wears a revealing red mini-skirt, and most of the humor revolves around her accidentally being involved in sexual situations (her accidental loss of clothing, and so on). The series relied heavily on fanservice and panchira.

The anime series also appears on TV Asahi's survey of Japan's 100 favorite animated television series. http://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/anime100/index_top.html (#97) or http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...orite-tv-anime

=============

Sounds interesting to me

This series sounds really interesting! It appears that the first 2 out of 95 episodes of this have been subbed:

I am really interested in seeing more of it!

This thread lacks pix

For any translators out there, the group RG is requesting one because they need one to continue their work on the series.

Here is rayout's site for the project: http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,1...ing_machi.html

Glad to see two groups working together on it, and I hope they are successful!

I actually first heard about this series based on some artwork I saw on a certain "rule" site, so I'm going to post some of the more tasteful clippings that should be within the bounds of AS ToS while hopefully generating interest in Ms Machiko.

Seeing these makes me feel like I understand the theme well. Not hentai, but perhaps the god of mainstream 80s ecchi anime?

This is a serious flashback to the drive-in classic school comedies from the mid 70's to early 89's (ahh, my pleasantly wasted youth). I would love to see the rest of this subbed!

Ya I know rite? Found some interesting YouTube clips too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uC701no9Wn4

But full eps will always be superior to clips.

On a plus note: I can verify that the torrents for eps 1-2 remain active because I just finished getting them. So at least I can jam those in a folderas a reminder to come back and check on it later.

That said, this was 81, so what are these mid 70s classics you speak of?

Aw c'mon, Machiko is way more cultured, she's a universal athlete. Have you not seen her skateboarding skills?
