Macross Frontier Character Discussion - Ranka Lee

Serious guys. If you just think of Ranka as a clueless wonder, it really puts everything in perspective. Just like a dog, which she has been compared to appearance wise a lot, I believe also points to her personality. Intensely loyal to the one that gives her the most attention or who the dog views as their master or owner. Very one track minded in what keeps their interest the most at that time. Very easy to please by positive reinforcement of any kind.

Alto is the owner/human. See her goals throughout the series and realize how one track minded she is on something she is focused on and how she doesn't notice anything outside that track. As for positive reinforcement, people praise her, they pet her, they save her, they spoil her.

I know it's not entirely fair to compare Ranka to an actual Dog but the similarities in some behaviors is oddly similar and very disturbing. Couple that with her dog ear hair movements and it's down right fracked up.

What do you expect? Sheryl avoided interacting with people as much as possible throughout the series, besides Alto. Only cares about singing, has an unpositive outlook on people and life in general, and by gods for whatever reason the only person she holds in any regard is a retard like Alto.
