Will it need a new thread or should we just continue to use the last Toradora SOS thread when it gets subbed?

The second volume of the shounen manga Toradora! also got a special edition.

Here's its cover:

Shounen manga.
Serialized in the shounen/seinen manga magazine Dengeki Daioh.

Change of topic, but has there been any word on someone picking up either the anime or manga for US release?

I've not seen a whisper.... I suppose I ought to throw a "hey, look at this" at Yen Press and a couple of others.

Hello all. I'm new to this forum, although I've watched a lot of anime over the years so I'm not new to it. Never have I been so obsessed about any anime as I am with this series. I've read almost every post and every thread on this forum, and just wanted to say hi to everyone and how glad I am to find so many lovers of this show together. This forum is AWESOME!

ToraDora is in the Philippines already??!! http://www.tv5.com.ph/mediacentre/pr16_051809.html

Man, that's fast. Did any Pinoy here watch the premiere just hours ago? (Schedule is in the link.) How was it? Did they dub Vanilla Salt? And here I was putting finishing touches to my sing-able Filipino translation of the FULL song.

Judging from the reviews of some of my fellows, the lady VA handling Taiga did well in Tagalog. Befitting itself as a comedy series, some translated lines are downright hilarious.

Yup, saw some episodes. The voices are good enough, I especially liked the one for Yacchan. The only nitpick I have for the voices was for Minori's, but I understand she's the hardest to voice.

The "Oha-!" part got lost in translation. Oh well.

There's also some minor controversy when the background music for episode 5 got replaced.

I just finished watching this show.
Spoiler for Ep 25:

I'd like to try the Toradora game, wonder if there is a Yasuko route.

True, and of late, there's some nasty mixup with the episodes.

Anyway, Sunday afternoons are now holy for me: Shana, Taiga and Alphonse.

IT'S A CONSPIRACY!

Wait, sorry, I just finsihed NHK...

Anyways, the ending was as you described: underwhelming. But that's the problem, you see. It isn't easy to create a solid ending without being unfaithful to the source material. The novel ended with almost the same light-hearted note as the anime.

I can, however be thankful for this ending. I don't know how much I would have raged if it ended right after the picture was taken...

Hey now, no need to be a purist. Dubs can be just as good as the original (Although given how good the entire cast was in this instance, probably not possible). Besides that, assuming someone has to get it I definitely trust Funimation over most of the competition.

And besides that, the discs always come with subtitles, so you can just ignore the dubs entirely. The "licensors ruin anime" argument is just completely meritless.
