If Obama is a socialist, he's a bit of a milquetoast. Where's the asset expropriations and mass nationalizations of all services and industries?

You could probably add "Hippie" and "Nazi" to that list for extra hilarity…

You forgot terrorist (what with all the hoopla made of his connection to Bill Ayers).

There was an article posted a few pages back detailing how the Romney camp started their campaign in the negative since they couldn't directly attack or defend Romney (via ads) until the Republican Convention (when Romney became the official nominee). Consequently, they felt Obama was able to shape the election discussion during those summer months when Obama could directly attack Romney, but Romney could not attack Obama. I found that reasoning a little silly considering the Republican party (and others) had literally been attacking Obama for over 4 years at that point in his career, and as this brief game has showcased, has so thoroughly entrenched the mindset of the American people with a wide assortment of disparaging (and often times paradoxical) "slurs" and defamation. I may not necessarily like Obama as a candidate or President (he is definitely the lesser of both evils in his respective election, but he has only done an okay job so far), but damn if I don't respect him for the sheer crap he has to put up with from nearly all sides.

I don't know which is worse; that some people believe it, or don't believe it/don't understand it but parrot it anyway.

Might as well use their state budget to polish everything white and make everyone wear green-tinted glasses.

Well, scientific research confirms what we have been talking about, human intelligence 'peaked thousands of years ago, albeit I think I see clear and present proof of a rapid deterioration since the start of the 21st century.

Um, not really, if you read the article closely it becomes readily apparent that it's just an untested idea put out by someone. Forget about "confirming" anything, one would be hard-pressed to call it much of a research.

Quite the opposite, because it is an hypothesis it needs further testing. I am surprised (for a lack of a better word) that Professor Steve Jones said "... I have no idea how the idea could be tested.”, I mean, really? Nowadays we can sequence DNA and we have the well preserved cadaver of Otzi the iceman, who is about 5000 years old (albeit he looks like he died a year ago) so it is quite feasible to sequence that DNA and compare it with that of modern man. If am no geneticist but I came with this idea in seconds.

I would love to see Texas secede. North American can use a 3rd World Country too! Hopefully, it will happen in my lifetime.

I was also looking forward to more article pointing out who else was firing in the wake of Obama's win.... Anyone got any more? Btw, Newt Gingrich made appearance to Colbert last night. Mike Huckabee made his appearance to Daily Show the night before. The GOP reform begins?????

I think California already is bucking for that "first" in this country.
They're broke, while Texas is not.
Texas seems to be doing quite well for itself.
I highly doubt it would become a 3rd world country.
Of course, I also view all this secession talk as saber-rattling to explain to Obama that he DOES NOT have a mandate (as if any President does), and he needs to behave himself.
