Considering there's a Director's Cut of eps 1 & 2 plus a 2nd season on the way, I imagine the BDs will see a number of corrections. Especially on scenes that were reused a bit.

And there was a good deal of stuff they had to cut simply because they couldn't fit it into the episodes. Judging by the extra material we saw they're putting in volume 1, I bet they'll put those other scenes in the BD/DVDs.

The series is fun. It's a blender version of pretty much everything before it, but with an interesting mix and just enough seriousness to keep the plot moving. Yet it also doesn't take itself too seriously and has hilarious fun with a lot of the setup. I especially liked the Galge mechanic after the "options" started getting hilarious off point. And/or the Vice-commander was in charge.

Ah! I knew it! The date was completely unnecessary since Kotori already loved her onii-chan. In fact, her "love meter" was already maxed out and couldn't go any higher. He could have kissed her right away but Reine wanted Kotori to have fun first. I ended up liking Kotori more I thought I would. I was taken aback by her commander/bitch mode at first but the truth is she's a pretty cute tsundere. I liked the way Ayanyan voiced her too. She made lots of cute sounds.

This series started off terrible but it ended up being fairly enjoyable, mostly thanks to the female characters (Kurumi and Kotori in particular). 6/10. Will watch the second season for Kurumi. Kinda interested in those naked twins too.

well, this anime is become alive because of Kurumi arc and Kotori arc
both of them are awesome

and Kotori-Shido's interaction is just great
now I understand why Kotori showed no reaction when Shido kissed other girls
it's because Shido's first kiss is with Kotori.. and his affection is greater toward her.. xD

well, Origami is just become hateful character here. I hope she can show better character in 2nd season

Tohka and Yoshinon are also able to steal some spotlight in this episode

to be honest, it's little anti-climatic in the ending
Date a Live truly isn't the best... and seems like didn't do better job at adapting Light Novel

8/10 for this one... enjoyable... good soundtrack... and beautiful animation

the short preview of 2nd season show a dark Tohka? and the twin look gorgeous, can't wait, might go to dig novel instead

Hahaha I think a lot of people got taken by surprise by her commander mode. One thing the anime did not do is going into clear explanation of the ribbon so I don't know if it's counted as spoiler or not but:

So it's obvious that the white ribbon is her imouto mode and the black ribbon is her commander mode. When she was younger, she's actually quite a shy and timid person. During the event of 5 years ago, Shidou gave her the black ribbons and said that if she wear those, she will become a strong person. As a result, she developed this "side" that is strong but as you can see in this episode, her real side still shows up once in a while even when she wears the black lol. Her strong side is developed out of a need for what happened during that event as well as find ways to save others like her and to help Shidou. So although she may seem tough and "bitchy" to some, it's all to help Shidou and the cause. Guess you can call it tough love in a sense.

Also perhaps it's just me but I'm very careful when I use the word "bitch". I don't throw that word around very casually but it seems that many people do so it irks me at times. But that's a separate thing.

I actually saw how much fanarts are available for Date A Live and saw that Kurumi is ranked 1 in terms of amount of fanarts drawn in the series.

Well there is a reason why I support Kurumi all the way 8D. Then next would be Kotori

In terms of the amount of fanarts of characters respectively, it seems the rankings are:

1. Kurumi
2. Kotori
3. Yoshino
4. Tohka
5. Origami

Rest are totally low to the point that it's not really worth mentioning ^^;

Shidou was freaking awesome as a big brother , Best date of the season was saved for last. Kotori really blossomed at the end. Imouto Kotori is sweet and funny.

Can't wait for season 2. Those other spirit looked really interesting.
