Yeah, saw the news on themagicbox.com today.

FFVIII PC 80% done.

I already have FFVII PC et FFVIII PC. Played them both already on PC way back then, when I had my Voodoo 2 3dfx cards.

Summer 1998 / FFVII PC : I had one Voodoo 2 3dfx card, a 12MB one.

3d models or battles were good looking... at the time. Better than the PSX version.

Pre-rendered back drops were shit. They just took the ones on the PSX resolution and stretched them out for the PC resolution, which was 640 x 480.

January 2000 / FFVIII PC : I had 2 Voodoo 2 3dfx cards in SLI. A few months before, I decided to buy another instead of going for the Voodoo 3 or better... big mistake, as it didn't help most of my PC games... including FFVIII.

As a matter of fact, I remember that I had to turn-off the SLI function in order for FFVIII to run faster and better. Turns out, one Voodoo 2 12MB was just enough.

As for the rest, almost the same as FFVII 1998's PC port :

If I had to guess, I believe this new PC port of FFVIII will be the same as the one they did for FFVII last year.

If that's the case then... I guess people will mod the game in no time

Couldn't they mod it with the 2000 version ?

Oh and some of you may already know... I love FFVIII.

FFVIII's gameplay, battle system and storyline were not good at all. Now you're probably wondering why I love the game...

Simple, I'll give you 3 things that made me fall in love with the game despite it's huge flaws :

1) FFVIII's world.

2) FFVIII's setting.

3) The characters (except for Rinoa, never liked her... she didn't belong).

I agree completely with this one. The gardens (Balamb and the others) are still one of the best city in FF series so far.

From FF8 my favorite character is Laguna. If I had to choose my favorite FFs they would be FF4, FF10 and Tactics.

I would love to revisit FF8's world. Balamb and Esthar were awesome, along with that underground village whose name I forgot.

And despite all the shortcomings that game had, the Gunblade was and still is one of the best original weapons ever devised. Just looking at it is intimidating.

Figures. It's been in "development" for almost 8 years (since 2005/2006), that game will never see the light of day.

The theory that Versus XIII will become XV (and that it's still alive for that matter) just got a tiny bit more likeable.
What do you guys think, fake or legit?

Spoiler for photo:

Most people on here have been discrediting it as fake, also why is there a "IV" symbol beneath the logo for XV? Is that supposed to mean that it's the 4th installment in Fabula Nova Crystalis or something else?

EDIT: Never mind seems it's just the small print making the XV seem more like a IV.

yeah lol
I posted the bigger picture at the Lightning Returns thread
http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost...&postcount=151

anyway, the logo behind FFXV was cut in half so it appears like the Golbez logo from FFIV

but we're still not sure if the image is legit or not. I guess we need to wait for E3 to find out

Hmm I think it's the original Etro logo, possibly revamped for a re-branding (though I was hoping Agni would be FFXV)

Tomorrow June 10 the Sony conference at 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. PDT (GameTrailers, IGN, PS home) will reveal a Final Fantasy game for the PS4. Could it be Versus, Agni or a new one? I might be not be able to watch all of it due to college though.

Someone over at neogaf posted the following interview message from Nomura:

"when this radio airs there will be E3 going on at US. I will be at E3 for KH1.5 promotion. And there is a certain information announced at E3 which I cannot talk about at this moment. But I feel like everyone knows what this information will be anyway."

I'm getting kinda excited now.

Well, there's no mention since it'd be better to keep it as a surprise.

Confirmed fake already. The KH3 logo was just some fanmade logo.
