One Piece New World: Fishman Island Arc discussion (Anime-only)

Finally the crew sets sail . Good to have everyone they ran into during their separation come back to help them out a bit. While they could have handled this it's just easier to have some help and then get on their way.

That was actually pretty nice. Can imagine there was a great deal of trouble on her part making sure he made it where he had to in one piece. Her showing up pretty much answered how on earth he managed to get there first...or at all . Yeah they put enough emphasis there to make it clear that she's going to miss him.

Haha yeah I was waiting for that too. The manga doesn't do the anime justice . They probably could of handled it easily, but then you'd be missing all those cool little parts that made this a great episode

Wish those random occasions weren't as rare, but I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

I bet you every time Zoro went off on his own, Perona probably stuck a ghost on him, depressing him each time. She complained about him a lot, but it truly shows that she cares.

So Zoro has two potential love interest now: Tashigi and Perona. Sanji has... 00000000... Poor Sanji.

Haha probably, but she's probably done that to him so many times over the 2 years that it's probably just like a slap on the wrist to him and yeah that scene definitely stood out.

Zoro definitely going to run into Tashigi again. That's a given cause Smoker will always be searching for Luffy, but Perona.. idk.. Moria didn't die and he's probably hiding off somewhere so maybe he'll show up again along with Perona? Or maybe that's just wishful thinking

No matter how sad it may be for Sanji.. it just wouldn't be the same if he had someone haha you wouldn't have those funny or retarded moments that are just mainly based on him lolol.

Nice to see when Rayleigh and Roger first met. Oh man the straw hat originally belonged to Roger! Well Kuma did turn out to be their biggest ally so far. Wonder if we'll ever find out the reason, unless Dragon wanted them alive. Wonder if RObin knew about it from her time with the Revolutionary army. Wow Coribou is attacking them, hopefully he finally gets taken out, don't like him.

Wow. Interesting, Kuma was a great ally :P. It was pretty funny how Sanji had a nosebleed that led him to pierce through the bubble, they made Sanji much funnier I guess.

Coribou's pirates will be a test for Luffy and the crew , I cant wait until they show the abilities they have obtained through the two years

Well, there was a fare share of flashbacks, but they were interesting though.
They all grew up in every way.
Ship as a submarine was a pretty awesome idea, loving it.

Finally, they're on their way to Fishman Island. Loved Zoro's face when he saw all the blood bags - I totally missed that in the manga!

Yeah... I enjoyed the scene for Kuma in the manga... made me really start to like Kuma... to see it in the anime just made it soooo much better~

Kuma's action really isn't that big of surprise, after all Luffy is his boss, Dragon's son.


What really is interesting is the fact the Vegapunk agreed to Kuma's request to begin with. I mean really, as someone that was being modified, there was little Kuma can do if Vegapuck decide to alter him straight up without adding Kuma's request to the programming.

All this is further securing Vegapunk's place as the most interesting and important character that has yet to make a physical appearance in the series.

However, we have yet to figure out why Kuma agreed to be modified in the first place. He mentioned that he made a deal to get somethine, but I doubt this was it since this deal was after modifications started.

One Piece has like one of the worst background music in like any anime that i've seen -___-.. Just my opinion though haha. Such an epic anime needs better music

For One Piece it's pretty much always been better when they animate it . Those little extra things here and there make it nicer too haha and yeah same. Definitely looking forward to it.

I knew that sa cow looked familiar. It was indeed Momoo, lol how he ran right away when he saw Sanji and Luffy. Laughed so hard when Chopper stole Brook's line, he definitely can't do that. Coribou was annoying, but he did have a good idea with the suits.

Nice to see Chopper and Robin show a little of their new strengths. Awesome how Franky showed off his rocket launcher. Best idea was Luffy wanting to tame the Kraken. Oh man wanted to see his new move too, oh well have to wait for that. Momoo is still around, so maybe they can get him.

I thought this episode was slow at first but I loved the part with the giant Octopus.

My favorite parts were when Luffy told Zoro not to cut it because he wants him as a pet. And when Usopp tried to show Luffy how big it was.
