...I'm sorry, but AKJSLJASJJSJSLA!
It was already an awesome thing that it got licensed (by Fantagraphics no less!), and now, jeebus, this. WHEEEEE! *extremely incoherent and ecstatic which might soon deflate depending on the studio and staff* |

Has it been confirmed? That was what Moonphase heard a while ago - or rather, one half of the rumor. They also heard that AIC would animate Amagami, which turned out true.
Along with Deen, AIC seems to be getting everything these days, perhaps because of their large production capacities and lower costs (although both have poor reputations when it comes to quality control). During difficult times, financiers turn to the lowest bidder. |

Moonphase shouldn't taken as an official source since a good deal of what they post is rumor. Some of it turns out true, some of it doesn't.
Anyway, a studio hasn't been officially announced yet, although Moonphase lists it as a pending AIC Spirits project (the Amagami confirmation probably makes them confident that their rumor is reliable). |

Personally it's one of my favorite titles ever, so i'm just hoping the adaptation is handled with the respect it deserves.

Aoi Hana got royal treatment because of Fuji TV (and it was subsequently a royal bomb for them) and their NOISE slot. I don't expect the same level of care this time, but a good show is possible. I just suspect that the production conditions are that of a run-of-the-mill anime adaptation instead of an important project.

I've only read a little bit of the manga, but it's quite interesting so far. I might want to put this on my list. I'm also hoping that Azuma Sakamoto will be picked as the voice for Shuichi. For those who have watched Pandora Hearts the anime, her voice as young Gilbert is PERFECT!

Let me confess when I first came to the thread I felt Hourou was actually Bastardization of Horror . So I misread the thread title as Horror Boy . I was expecting an quasi horror comedy show . When I actually bothered to read the summary the premise seemed quite unique . Also knowing its Seinen the story will be handedly maturely with little or no premise to cheap fan-service .
I don't read that much manga but I may actually give it a try, if & when curiosity gets the better of me .
