Johnny died when he was only 29 years old, trying to save his wife apparently. Damnit Araki, why can't you give your characters happy endings!? This is really depressing.

The chapter also reveals Johnny retrieved the corpse from the safe in order to cure his wife's illness, high chances are this is related to the weird stuff happening in Morioh...

Yeah, it really is sad to learn what became of Johnny (the Joestar curse continues.....). And yes, it most definitely looks like the holy corpse is hidden in Morioh now. My guess is that papa Higashikata knows where it's hidden, considering how suspicious he's been acting.....



On a lighter note, it was awesome how Josuke got back at Joushuu for abandoning him. Actually, I find it kinda funny that Joushuu would steal money in the first place since he's already from a pretty well-off family (unless his pops gives him a crappy allowance or something ). Anyway, it's awesome that we got a clearer look at his and Yasuho's stands this chapter (and the constant "PANIC" SFX was great, too)!

Geez, and I actually preferred the biker being named "Going Underground". Oh well, I'll get used to it. But the name of Yasuho's stand is fitting since, like Josuke's, it's named after a Prince song. Now to wait for the name of Joushuu's stand....

Bumping this not because there's a new chapter (that'll come out later this month), but because the translation for the current chapter is out. Anyway, this chapter got me thinking:

You know how just about every final boss since part 3 had a time-based power? Well, I'm kind of wondering if the final boss of Jojolion might have a time-traveling stand. Because maybe it was the user of that stand who murdered Johnny to get their hands on the corpse.....

And bumping once again because there IS a new Jojo chapter out:

The chapter begins with a flashback that details the circumstances leading to Johnny's death. He borrows the holy corpse to heal his wife, which doesn't please the US government. Interestingly, it's explained that the corpse's true power isn't to "heal", but rather to "remove". And to remove something means that it must be transferred "elsewhere", as miracles do not come free.....


Johnny brings Rina to a tree and manages to heal her, but the disease then spreads over to their son..... George Joestar. Panicking, Johnny manages to hastily heal his son by using Tusk on him, but ends up getting the mystery illness transferred over to himself instead. He then falls off his horse, and upon landing on some familiar-looking leaves, gets his head crushed by a boulder. And so it's revealed that Johnny sacrificed himself for the sake of his family......


Back in the present time, the old man finishes telling Jousuke his story. He also charges him money for the information (lol ). We then cut to Yasuho, who's once again exploring the place where she first met Jousuke..... which also happens to be near the very same tree Johnny visited in the past to heal his wife. Yasuho reads an old newspaper article that, in addition to Johnny's death, also reports that an unidentified baby child was found near that very same tree around the same time as Johnny's incident. Curiously, he was wearing a necklace of valuable gemstones, though Yasuho couldn't find any further information about him. As she steps towards a big hole at the roots of the tree..... an arm reaches out and pulls her inside! In the tree's depths, we can see a mysterious figure groping our heroine and licking her by the ears.....




Man, what a chapter! So now we get the whole story behind Johnny's death (which is no less tragic than previous Jojo deaths), and Yasuho gets sexually assaulted by some weirdo in a tree. I hope Jousuke finds her soon so he can kick this groping dude's ass.....

The dude seems to be a child though. Notice his legs are really short.

Hmm, if it's a child, then I wonder if it's the one Yasuho was just reading about in the paper? Still, if that's true then that makes her impending rape all the MORE disturbing......

As far as the first question goes, I do admit that I flubbed a bit because I skimmed the raw while reading the script (though I'm about to clear that matter up). However, we most definitely see Johnny using Tusk:

Which brings us to how he died, it looks like what really happened was before the boulder crushed his head, he ended up getting shot by his own nail bullets:

^That shouldn't be too strange when you remember how the corpse protected Valentine in SBR (any attacks directed at him were redirected elsewhere, this case being Johnny himself). And again, it was definitely the leaves that brought along the boulder.

It looks like the corpse was brought back to America by Johnny's pursuers, so I guess it won't play a role in Jojolion, at least not directly. This stuff about the mystery baby is very intriguing... how does this tie with Johnny's incident and the current plot?

To be honest, the first thing that I thought when Kira was found dead and when we got to see the family tree, was that; perhaps, Kira was fused with a corpse.

The connection that comes to my mind is that Josuke's soap bubbles have the power to "remove" something from whatever they touch, yet it's established here that the corpse also had this ability of "equivalent exchange" by removing something from one thing and putting it into another.

What if this was same case with Soft & Wet? Perhaps the things Josuke "removes" with his stand's powers are transferred to something else instead of just disappearing completely? If so, that's a pretty big clue towards who or what the other half of Josuke could be. It could perhaps be the corpse, or someone with a strong connection to it.

And in this month's brain-melting Jojolion chapter:

Yasuho wakes up in a strange underground room with a little girl. It turns out the girl is the youngest child in the Higashikata family, Tsurugi. She reveals to Yasuho that she's the only one who knows about that secret room, which she found after the earthquake. After some odd antics from Tsurugi, Yasuho tries to leave, but discovers that her cell phone is missing.


An angry Yasuho tries to make Tsurugi tell her where her phone is, but after shaking her, she makes a startling discovery: Tsurugi is actually a boy. The child then explains that the Higashikata family has a tradition where the eldest sons of the family are raised as girls for the first 12 years of their life, in order to "ward off evil spirits". ()



Meanwhile, it occurs to Josuke that he can simply text Yasuho instead of calling her (it seems that Paisley Park (Yasuho's stand) gave him the idea). After sending her the message, Yasuho's phone rings in the underground room. However, she still can't find it, and gets angry at Tsurugi again. But as it turns out, the phone was never missing in the first place.....











LOOOOL, I'm STILL reeling from that "family tradition" explanation! I won't comment any further on it for the time being, though. Anyway, I guess Tsurugi has some sort of origami type stand? At least, that would explain the phone's "transformation".


Also, I guess Tsurugi was the one who was molesting Yasuho last chapter. Though he probably did it through his stand because the figure still looks different from him, despite being short....

Also, THERE IS NO CHAPTER NEXT MONTH. So we gotta wait a bit longer to see more of Araki's insanity, I'm afraid.....

I have to wonder if every first-born son in the Higashikata family being raised as a girl for the first twelve years of their life will have some significance later on.

Actually everything about this chapter felt like it had some kind of significance, but there's no way of telling at this point what that could be.

And as soon as I saw Tsurugi playing around with origami I had a feeling he would have a stand related to it.~
