i wonder did Haruhi changed to bunny girl to attract some attention from Kyon ?

Actually Haruhi changed into the bunny girl suit because of the heat. She wanted to dress the least so wouldn't feel so stuffy, in the novels she didn't even wear stockings. But it turns out the suit doesn't ventilate well and the heat makes her temper worse. Its actually a minor factor that adds to her abandoning the world lol

I've been watching this series since it started but never posted in this forum, until the last ep.

Anyway, I loved ep. 14. I think its a wonderful ending. I'm just hoping for a 2nd season, but aren't we all. I give this series a 10/10.

I can add that this ep is a perfect 10 all the way!

And that The Sphnix's observation was spot on! Good Job!

I also felt that the music during the Shinjin appearances was great and helped give the sequence that "epic" feel that the visuals were implying.

Yup and the same thing happened to Saber in F/SN too. Maybe someone can write a psychology paper on the subect if there are analogous behaviours in real life.

Haruhi untied her ponytail in the afternoon, and Kyon guessed that she got tired of the feeling of her tied hair. He then told himself he'd just have to wait for her hair to grow longer before suggesting to Haruhi to tie a ponytail.

EDIT: one thing i dont get though, is... how come we see what looks like haruhi taking guitar lessons at the end? didnt she decide this after the bunkasai, which supposedly is after all this?

Wow what an eps.....like most ppl here agreed, i havent seen a solid ending for an anime series in a long LONG time.

heres my thought on the kissing part:
1. Kyon forced it so he can get outta closed space
2. he asked himself what is haruhi to him (i think everyone knows already)
3. he kissed her to get haruhi wake up from her sleep (sleeping beauty)

and when they are in closed space with the bgm and the giants...haha totally remains me of Evangelion. so could they be paying homage to evangelion? (esp with koizumi and his adam and eve joke to the ending of evangelion) XDDD

lastly, they gotta make season two.... i wanna know why the cat can talk in the ep1 (ep11) movie for the cultural festival!!!!! (i no i can read from the book...but this is an opportunity for kyoani to make season two

edit: It's pretty easy to figure out, just listen to Haruhi at the end of each ep for the correct chronology.

If you are talking about the scene with the two girls sitting under a tree with one playing a guitar, neither of those girls is Haruhi. The girl with the guitar is Takako Nakanishi and the dark-haired girl is Miyuki Enamoto. They are the guitarist and the singer from the band ENOZ, who Haruhi and Yuki stood in for in episode 12. Even though it is a distant shot in this episode, you can tell by their hair color and style as compared with the scene in episode 12 where the band members come to thank Haruhi.

ahah, I got that vibe too. In fact when the music was playing and the monster was wrecking everything my very first thought was "Close Encounters of the Third Kind meets Neon Genesis Evangelion." Crazy.

And yeah, there's a lot of stuff in this show that alludes to other series. Quite a few references to Eva.
