For the most part, so long as they stick to the storyline, it won't be butchered. Now that's left is to see how good it will actually be (amazing? or not?)

Kamnomi has some pretty good source material. They had better stick to it!!

I imagine every Kanon fan on Earth would give you a fairly detailed answer on that one...

As a Full Metal Panic fan, let me just say "Yes, it does"... ^_^

Yes, it matters greatly.

Have you seen Polyphonica and its (in)famous car chase? If you haven't, you won't understand.

For the studios :

No shaft please ! It's not that they aren't great but their work with this anime won't fit .

Hope more for Sunrise , Bones ...

I would hate JC Staff doing it too. JC Staff usually skip quite a bit of original metorial or change it a lot.

Yeah. It's mostly because they don't want to do a long-running series... You know, I'm kind of conflicted regarding making Kaminomi into a long-running series.

Most of the time I'd be against it because the quality of animation usually sucks, and fillers almost always suck but... Fillers might not be so bad in Kaminomi. We'll see.

If they're going to make it in season installments, at least be thorough with the seasons. Thanks.

If it were JC Staff, they could get away with doing it similarly to how they did the To Arus, with a pair of 2 cour seasons, and they wouldn't even need to add filler if they waited to do the second season until after the author has put out more hapters. They might need to adjust the timeline a bit (move some girls' arcs around so they end up on a major arc to end each season) but since so few of the arcs are interconnected, that should be easy enough.

My main problem with JC Staff is stylistic, though. I don't know if the relatively simplistic manga style would be something JC Staff would be willing to handle, or how well the fairly detailed, realistic "signature" style of JC Staff would mesh with the need to go chibi every few minutes (at least). I kind of wish we could take skills from multiple studios...

Design and OP/ED by SHAFT, casting by JC Staff, adaptation and score by KyoAni, animation by Madhouse (think Kamen no Maid Guy), or Hal Film Maker (Kemeko DX)...

Of course you'd also get a 2 1/2hr movie adaptation of the Tenri/Diana Arc that'd make your jaw drop... ^_^
LMFAO

You forgot the 2nd season where they repeat the same episode eight times, and it happens to be a filler about Kami trying to completed a cursed game during the summer but it keep looping time whenever he gets a bad ending.

At least that only took a day in the manga!

I dislike Index. But I see what you mean. Do you guys think it'll be announced soon? Like this is my first time following a manga WHILE it an anime was announced... how long does it take for the season to start?

About 4~6 months, I would venture a guess.

Perhaps a PV in about 2~3 months.

I'd be happy with a gag with Elsee chasing nice red fire trucks

With JC Staff, I'd personally expect a chibified "Kami-nii-tama" sitting on Elsee's head playing his (full-sized) PFP, shouting "Uruchai, uruchai, uruchai!" Tell me Mamoru Miyano or Jun Fukuyama couldn't make that work... ^_^

The classics are always best, after all...

No, they killed themselves. Really it's true. They didn't like the fact that 80% of their traffic was from Japan, so they just chose to give up beforehand. They were not actually confronted.
