Good second episode... albeit quite the jealousy festival, as the comments at Nico Nico kept saying. First glimpse of Hiro-san, too. (Still can't wait for Egoist~)
The scene right before the eyecatch where Spoiler:

ZOMG who cares about the first pairing, look at the preview for ep 3 : it's the Egoist pair's turn. O, Hiro and Miyagi showed up in Ep 2 too whee.
You want to know what I think? The number of dialogue in one Junjou episode makes up the entire amount in a random yaoi manga. Yes, the boys do get into bed 3.5 seconds later after they meet. Yes, they have SEX, oh wow, how completely shocking, with the way some male viewers are acting, you'd think they're infected with homophobic cooties. It's a COMMON CLICHE in Yaoi-land, yes, YES, I know that, everyone knows that. BL is the genre that gets the most flack on this when so many other het shows has stuff like moe-alien girl coming from outer space and falls in love with dumb hero after those 3.5 seconds (even if they haven't had sex but srsly, how many of you guys out there who's sleeping around equate SEX = LOVE?). When it comes to Junjou R, I really don't care HOW they ended up, WHERE they ended up, WHEN they ended up. Being a fangirl, I'm used to stupid cliches. You may accuse me of not being sensible enough to care about characterization, but guess what, it is precisely their characterizations that makes me forgive their horribly bad lol!buttsecks. When it comes to yaoi, the characterization aspect alone is overlooked by hundreds of popular yaoi series in favor of hawt yaoi sex, and Junjou HAS characterization. This sets Junjou apart from its horrible anime cousins, the three Junjou pairs actually have chemistry AND best of all, the series knows how to make fun of itself, and for this, Junjou will be the only BL series which I WILL admit that it will be worth my time. *bumps the thread back up*
This is one of the anime that I love so much more than the manga. <3 I suppose I'm one of the few fans of Misaki and "Usagi". I love all of the characters, though. ;//; I must say, the opening theme is my favourite of the season. I suppose it's already obvious that I'm a huge Junjou fan. Seeing the characters in motion is so wonderful. I quite like the animation, actually, especially at the end of episode one. Needless to say, I adore the voice acting, especially from Sakurai. I love that most of the drama CD cast has returned. Augh, I can't wait for episode 4! |

I thought it's weird that Junjou has so few posts in animesuki until I realized Livejournal is the Animesuki for manga (not commenting on Aarinfantasy forum as I consider that The Pit's cousin), since I just found out there are Japanese yaoi manga artists following the Livejournal communites. How awesome is that?
Please bring on Nowaki/Hiro, I'm sick of Usami/Misaki as that's my least favorite pairing. I cringe at their scenes, believe it or not. |

I think Livejournal has more female users than males, whereas it's the opposite in Animesuki. I don't think JR can get popular here even though it's one of the anticipated series of the season? Look at Hitman Reborn and Kyou Kara Maou, there are BARELY any posts here and yet the Livejournal community is flooded with HUNDREDS of posts every month (intelligent ones, not the rabid fangirl ones).
Anyway, the preview for the next episode is up at http://suzukisan.info/story.html and the story shifts back to Egoist which is about TIME. I support them almost as much as I support Alto x Sheryl. :P |

Surprise of spring A: there's a BL TV anime this season!
Surprise of spring B: it doesn't suck! I watched the first two episodes and each left me feeling warm and fuzzy. Pure romance, indeed. The humor in it works well (I think it might be the way they draw chibis?) Also refreshing that no one looks like a girl, as many BL stories are guilty of... The bears are adorable.... I will take full advantage of all of the suzuki-san merchandise that's out now. Quote:
