I think it was implied that a statue fell and pierced him through the temple. At least the way they talk about the "Goddess of Freedom" makes it sound like a statue.

If you look closely, the statue is one of those tourist trap miniature "Statue of Liberty" paperweights.

Haha, now that you mention it, I looked it up, and "Jiyuu no Megami" (Goddess of Freedom) is the Japanese phrase for the "Statue of Liberty."

What a lame way to die?

Unless someone actually used it as a weapon and threw it towards his head, I won't buy that it killed him simply by dropping .

Maybe it was a robot statue of liberty.

I knew that he was killed by a mini Statue of Liberty, but I thought the ep implied that someone had jammed it into his head.

Well, that's possible. Some kishin egg serial killer with a statue of liberty gimmick.

Wow thats an...interesting way to die. Perhaps the Statue of Liberty herself is the killer.

I found Tsubaki's soul orb really cute, like her smoke bomb form.

Patty is adorable as always.

The show is definitely keeping up its animation, action and surprises. Maybe just lesser fanservice and Shinigami chops. Great show, but why is this sub forum not anywhere as lively as the other animes' this season?

It has more activity than Vampire Knight which is the only other "new" series this season.

To be honest though, the double introduction arcs have turned off quite a few people.

Which is rather unfortunate if you ask me.

So far, the anime has been extremely enjoyable, and comparable to the manga in many many ways.

Hmmm I for one was attracted to the style and animation and anticipated this anime for quite some time, especially since I never read the manga before.

One Piece on the other hand, it took me a while to adjust to the style but later got hooked till this day.

I look forward to every next episode of Soul Eater, as much as I do Code Geass and Macross Frontier, but not Vampire Knight. These 3 are my favourites this season and I thought Soul Eater should be no where far in popularity, but it doesn't seem the case.

Hmmmm, you can say that again.

I have yet to convince a single one of my friends to watch this. One of them even told me that he wasn't going to watch it simply because the lead was a girl.

Well... that is a pretty infantile rationalization for him. Don't expect me to invite him to any parties

I find it interesting that the other series that keep being mentioned don't appeal to me at all for a variety of reasons (OnePiece, Code G, etc).

Yeah, I dont invite him to any parties either.

Moving on.....

I seriously liked this episode and though of Dr. Stein as a great adition to the cast. Still, this is yet another character I would have prefered to see as a regular bad guy. >_< !

Sounds like someone I need to avoid.

Off topic, but I recommend Geass if only for the over-the-topness of it all.

I was thinking how are they going to beat this guy even before this episode aired. From what they said about Stein in episode 4 and the shots of him in the episode preview I was already thinking this guy would be unbeatable.

While watching this episode, I thought Kid would really need to be there to save the day. Then I saw his soul and thought even with Kid, it would not be enough. He is like the 'final boss' type and is utterly badass, until he patted Soul's head. He's an amazing character, like the rest of the cast.

Really? Cause I have effortlessly convinced most of my friends to watch this ever since I got the first episode

Sometimes, I guess it's a good thing that most of them are single minded action fans...

(However, try convincing them to watch shows like Kanon or Clannad on the other hand...>.>)
