I found Tsubaki's soul orb really cute, like her smoke bomb form.
Patty is adorable as always. The show is definitely keeping up its animation, action and surprises. Maybe just lesser fanservice and Shinigami chops. Great show, but why is this sub forum not anywhere as lively as the other animes' this season?

To be honest though, the double introduction arcs have turned off quite a few people. |

Hmmm I for one was attracted to the style and animation and anticipated this anime for quite some time, especially since I never read the manga before.
One Piece on the other hand, it took me a while to adjust to the style but later got hooked till this day. I look forward to every next episode of Soul Eater, as much as I do Code Geass and Macross Frontier, but not Vampire Knight. These 3 are my favourites this season and I thought Soul Eater should be no where far in popularity, but it doesn't seem the case.

I have yet to convince a single one of my friends to watch this. One of them even told me that he wasn't going to watch it simply because the lead was a girl.

Well... that is a pretty infantile rationalization for him. Don't expect me to invite him to any parties
I find it interesting that the other series that keep being mentioned don't appeal to me at all for a variety of reasons (OnePiece, Code G, etc).

Moving on..... I seriously liked this episode and though of Dr. Stein as a great adition to the cast. Still, this is yet another character I would have prefered to see as a regular bad guy. >_< !

I was thinking how are they going to beat this guy even before this episode aired. From what they said about Stein in episode 4 and the shots of him in the episode preview I was already thinking this guy would be unbeatable.
While watching this episode, I thought Kid would really need to be there to save the day. Then I saw his soul and thought even with Kid, it would not be enough. He is like the 'final boss' type and is utterly badass, until he patted Soul's head. He's an amazing character, like the rest of the cast.

Sometimes, I guess it's a good thing that most of them are single minded action fans... (However, try convincing them to watch shows like Kanon or Clannad on the other hand...>.>)
