Well, GBF, Try & Re:Rise already proven that Gundam doesn't need 4 cours to tell a good story (& sell model kits).

There's also possibility that WFM can get a sequel series if it's successful and the original writer & director want to continue.

Possibly, but remember G-Reco only had two cours also and IBO that came after that had four course splits into two sections after that. IBO's second set of cours also was greenlite quite late in S1 to my understanding though I don't know whether that was ever confirmed.

Same day as airing as far as I can remember.

Also I should elaborate that the annoucement only mentions Gundam Info's simulcast. Have not heard official news that Crunchyroll's is affected yet.

Hmm, it's definitely a new unique feel to Gundam. Wasn't really expecting this from the prologue.

Gundam Utena with an MC who resembles Loran Cehack (Turn-A Gundam). And that's not all the Gundam story elements that this episode paid homage to.

We have a space rescue at the beginning of the episode like The 08th MS Team and we also have MS duels where the winner is the one that wrecks the MS antennae much like the Gundam Fights in G Gundam where the winner is the one that crushes the head of the opponent Gundam (among other conditions).

And that tomato animation is straight from Shokugeki no Souma

And yes, yes yes, I know. The MS fights look excellent. Worthy of being the animation successor to Hathaway. Also (like Hathaway), they use CG mechs, but for the more mundane activities. When the fight starts, they switch to mostly handdrawn.

I'm still happy that Suletta's design is very much the merger of her parents. Her father's eyebrows, eyes, and skin tone, and her mother's facial bones and hair. It's a relatively minor continuity detail, but a nice one.

Spoiler for just some eps 1 content: Her attitudes are also consistent. She's shy and introverted in social situations because of her upbringing. She was the only child on the station that we know of, and Mercury is apparently just as isolated. If she is actually from Mercury of that that is just an outright lie to cover who they really are. So Suletta is extremely confident in dangerous space operations and MS combat, but has no idea how to deal with people her own age and those who aren't part of her "family" in the context of a space outpost.
