Was just re-watching the episode where Gildarts shows up to fight bluebolt and weirdly enough I only just noticed that Rustyrose summons a Sacred Guardian Beast, Gale Belfast....I live in belfast lol. Sorry but I thought it was funny and...yes kind of excellent.

Nice start to the arc's real plot. Wonder what the burning of the churches means. Interesting that that council person still looks the same after 7 years. Michelle is an interesting character. Asuka was so cute. Lol Lucy's sex appeal fails yet a gain. Makarov seemed really grim about that object and what was written.

I had a feeling I've heard Michelle's voice somewhere before, so I looked it up, and lo and behold, no wonder she was so familiar-v-, she's Shirahoshi. The animé just gave itself their own Shirahoshi-v-.

^ Ah, a One Piece reference. Yes, Michelle is another "crybaby".
The arc is off to an exciting start. The humor sometimes work, but other times is facepalm worthy. I rather get more of the story, which seems interesting.

lol I loved Gray in this. He was so nervous around Erza, or at least uncomfortable. Glad Levy is back. Still waiting for her and Lucy to fight together.
It's nice to see Laxus again. Love his new outfit (he sure likes purple huh?) Can't wait until the next episode. I love it when Lucy is targeted With everyone off and away (Gray, Juvia, Erza, Gajeel, Natsu might be off somewhere too), i wonder what's going to happen. There has to be a good reason for Lucy to be on the run and not standing and fighting. I'm hoping for some Lucy and Laxus interaction, since they both have blond/e hair so I must pair them together as something in the least. Plus she seems to be running into the area he lives in in the preview. Hoping he comes to her rescue or something, i like it when he plays the hero. BTW Earthland Coco is already sexier than Edolas Coco. Last edited by sergel02; 2012-05-04 at 23:56. |

So it was for a clock, and was a hand, not a key. The Natsu/Laxus thing was a bit disappointing in that they went for a comedy fight, but I suppose they couldn't do a real one, as it would take too long. The Gray/Erza thing was a bit amusing, hitting the right notes of awkward, though, heh.
Anyway, hopefully now this arc can really get started |

Now that I think about it, the fight between Natsu and Laxus seems more like a satire of filler episodes with rematches between two characters, and the high expectations fans of the first fight have. I mean, they've already fought once and it was amazing. So unless they had good reason to fight again, what's the point of a rematch? Besides, we all know that Natsu never wins fights when he's trying to prove his superiority to others. It's only when he knows the lives of others are at stake that he shows his true potential. For anyone who didn't know or care about that and just wanted to see them fight, this episode was likely to remind us that we should. And for that, I think I can appreciate it more.

You always make the best posts And if you all could take a wild guess, how long do you think this arc will last? Like how many episodes until the manga-adopted episodes start again? With the opening we got and given how long openings last, I'm guessing at least another 7 episodes, making 12 in total for this arc. However, i can also see it extending until the movie possibly, which is on August 18th. Maybe a slight tie-in? I dunno, but if it does it'll go on for around another 11 episodes, making the arc 17 episodes? Any guesses? |

This episode was pretty cool, Jason is without a doubt the biggest FT fan out there The festival was fun without missing its srs moments, Gray's adventures with Erza and Juvia were a good way to pass time...plus we got to see Gray fight with clothes on, for once |

Erza & Gray on a job together with Juvia throwing a fit in the background^^
Laxus keeps hanging out near the guild. Wish his grandpa would rescind the exile. The festival part was nice. Wonder what that clock has to do with anything... probably just another fight for Fairy Tail.

This episode felt like 90% filler and 10% plot (but in reality, it was 100% filler).
It will be interesting to see where this plot leads. We already know that the fillers should not affect the long-term story of Fairy Tail, but with a clock in the plot, it is possible that time magic might be involved. In which case, there is potential for Lucy to meet her dad from the past. We already had one episode when she went back to save herself. That might be a forshadow of what is to come.
