Any popular English songs which were originally Japanese?

I'm trying to find some popular songs in English, but which are originally a Japanese song.

I can't find any examples in English, but I can cite some instances where our local artists import Japanese songs and make alternate renditions of it in our native language. Some of which are:

Southern All Stars - Manatsu No Kajitsu
Kobayashi Akiko - Koi ni Ochite
Matsuda Seiko - Anata Ni Aitakute

Anyone know of some examples in English?

There are some songs in the game DDR, otherwise I have not seen Japanese songs in English at all.

game song with english counterpart:
eyes on me, melodies of life from final fantasy. they both have english song which are original japanese. However, still asian singers sang the english part.

maybe you might check some artists who released album in US like puffy-amiyumi koda kumi and Utada Hikaru. Puffy Ami and Yumi become popular because of cartoon network.

I think some group in the US remade Chokotto LOVE by Pucchi Moni, haha.

There's the very famous Sukiyaki by the Blue Diamonds ("The arms of Sukiyaki, the charms of Sukiyaki, are all I long for since I left old Nagasaki..") which is a German group IIRC, but the song is in English. I believe it was made around... the 70s?

But actually, the only link it has with the Japanese song is the catchy tune and memorable instruments (the xylophone (?) and whistling) - the original Japanese song ("Ue wo Muite Arukou") was a hit by the popular singer Kyu Sakamoto, a very sad piece about looking up at the sky in different seasons so that your tears don't fall from your eyes... nothing about Sukiyaki in Nagasaki

You probably know about it already anyway though.

May be I'm one of the people who don't understand the quality.I don't feel like Passion is so much better than Hikari.Too much sound effect and the electric guitar sound at the opening of the song put me off always everytime I listen to Passion.I don't know why she or the her producers want to use electric guitars in her songs. That's ruining her song quite abit.

Ever heard of the english theme of "Sobakasu" The op from Rurouni Kenshin.

Yuki didn't sang the english version though.
