Matthieu's estimate in Ep 6 was 'around 15 or 16'. That was based on 'her body shape'.

I beleive that when they metion that she was about 14 it's most likely 14. Also renton is 14 and the creator of the anime most likely wanted the two to be the some age.

I just finished watching the series. This is definately one of (if not the best) animes i have watched. I certainly hope that they do a movie or an OVA. I just want to see more and more of this world they created. It's getting late, but i am going to watch the entire series again. This just seems to be a series that i will keep coming back to, no matter how many others i see.

If I recall correctly it aired between eps 26 and 27; it's a recap up to ep 26 narrated by Talho. So, in short, if you haven't seen up to and including the awesome ep 26 you should wait...

if you remember in ep 41 (noraba.)spelling?was about 16 when eureka birth happen the soul driver change from (sayeka) to eureka and he is around 40 now so that make her about 24 maybe?i could be wrong. that is my guess.renton farther died when he was only3 years old and eureka look like 14 years old the age is more on renton than eureka.

I still kinda doubt it since none of the japanese source i have seen mentions that....
plus you really can't tell exactly how old eureka is since she was found in the skup (sp) some years back, and her physical appearance never really changed since then.......I don't know, ohwell

I don't remeber them saying that. All i remember is norubu seeing the name change from sakuya to eureka on the drive. Then when they meet sakuya said she had been waiting for her for a long time and was happy to finnally meet her. (think that's basically how it goes)

Scab coral explaination.

###POSSIBLE SPOILERS###

Every where ive seen its been called the Scab coral. simply an organizm that enveloped the
Earth. made its own outer crust many miles above the earth and created its own world in the earths image. its alive and all the infromation that it colected by merging with the world is stored in the command cluster.....probably.

As for people being lost in the anime, i would sudgest watching the entire thing. from 1 to 50. its one of the best, might as well.

Spoiler: I finished the series and enjoyed the ending but felt as thought I couldn't appericate it as much as I should just because I couldn't get um "attached" to some of things in the series or care about it as much as the series seem to have wanted to me too, i.e. Command Cluster, what Renton's dad did during the first Summer of Love, that illness many seem when they only hold onto the Compac Drive, why Dewey had those collars on Eureka and Anemone the whole time, etc, etc. Thanks.
