Yuru Yuri Quaver 09 - Trapped in the Closet (Chinatsu Edition)
Sakurako and Kyoko are such a natural pairing. The more we discover of Sakurako's home life, it's incredible to think that she may become VP of the student council in time, whenever the timeline starts moving normally again. Her conversation with Yui was illuminating. Even the simplest of foods are thought of as being prepackaged. Her sisters probably helped her believe that this sort of lifestyle is natural. The final segment's unusual pairings were all pretty fun to watch. Chinatsu and Ayano have almost no common ground, but Kyoko and Himawari were fun to watch. Kyoko is the kind who'd grab Himawari's boobs at first sight. Where would she pick up a headband like that anyway? Poor Akari; she's so used to misery that she's happier for the ants than herself - thank you, Chitose. My favorite sketch was the closet gag. Chinatsu's delusions aren't limited to just Yui, it seems. ("Chinarin~") The one where she pictured herself breaking the glass was almost Looney Tunes-esque. The first thing I thought for the title call was "AAAH! Chinatsu's artwork! We'll never escape it!". She got karma for that, though. Kyoko-ghosts are scary, but Akane paying you a midnight visit is scarier still. She's always watching. What do you think those squeaky noises coming from the other room are? |

So now we had Akarin~, Kyokorin~ and Chinarin~ only Yuirin~ is left !
my prefered part of the ep was the unusual pairing ! i thought kyokoXhimawari ine's punch line would be that she is just repeating what yui said to her be she actualy don't know anything about those study books but no punchline came.... kyoko are you for real ? you can't be all mature like that ! i also loved the "please don't become friend!!" cry of despair of himawari who don't want sakurako to follow kyoko footstep edit : also the studio seem like they keeping up with making akane show up every odd episode

I though the wierdest thing about this episode is the preview.
Ayano was right about her (and Chitose) getting lesser screentime lately which got replaced mostly by first year characters. Obviously, anime studio used up most the second year chapters in the first season. Maybe next time we'll be getting Ayari~n instead of Yuiri~n. |
