Is it just me that Nagi's former butler is a she? The masked butler's hair is braided and the mask covers up the voice, making it sound different. And calls itself God Princess... o.o?!

Anyway, I can't wait for the next ep.

So it one year passed since Nagi and Hayate met on that snowy, Christmas night.

Since then, Nagi kept Hayate's coat and wore it once again for episode 39.

Still, Hayate is debt-ridden from that time.

Grandpa Sanzennin came back for the Christmas party, and this time brought the secret weapon in order to supress any opposition from Nagi's part.
Spoiler:

Since time goes flying, and there's no much left before the last episode Nagi takes Hayate to the same spot they met in order to take the next step.

Unfortunately, the Superintendent has still her devious scheme working and doesn't plan to give up on Hayate.

Poor Hayate! He got kissed and swallowed by a giant snake, and then Cyborg Butler, whose wild face and behavior are a clear reference to Viral from Gurren-Lagann, goes postal on Hayate; played by the king of the battle cry, Nobuyuki Hiyama.

And the impossible came, the combined efforts of the Superintendent and the Cyborg Butler were enough to deal on Hayate his first loss ever upon the eyes of Nagi and to make matters worse the Superintendent plans to circulate the pictures throughout the internet, unless Hayate becomes her butler.

All would had been lost if it wasn't for the timely arrival of the crepe salesman and an old friend from the past, Himegami, former Sanzenin butler who now walks the world under the hero guise of 'Princess God'; Nagi did so long ago as 'Mask the Money', but she quickly gave up soon.

Holy Crap, this is one of the best episodes for sure. Not only that but it felt epic. This is how HnG should be. This still doesn't make up for the past 20 crap episodes (excluding ep35+)

milk is good once and a while y'know? Depending on on the length of the series and how much story needs to be told.

I'm having a hard time rating this ep because it ends in a cliffhanger which, for me, leaves the story of the ep fall short. So I will not rate it for now until I get to watch the next ep.

BTW... doesn't he know that calling himself Princess God makes him sound like a crossdresser or something?

I wonder if Hayate will ever go Super Sayajin

Hey, does anyone know what character/series the statue in this ep is? It looks so familiar, but nothing comes to mind!

But Cyborg Butler was SO under-powered. That drill knee alone should have killed Hayate, let alone the Broken Magnum AND Heck and Heaven! And let's not forget the Goldion Hammer turns stuff to light ON TOUCH, Himegami would have been vaporized merely by touching it. Metal also doesn't crumble like stone.

Other than that, same old same old Hayate. :|
Damn I know that was insult to Goldion Hammer.

Well this episode was the reason why I watched Hayate no Gotoku in the first place, because of the Cyborg Butler. The greatest parody ever imo, for that I give it a nine, would have gave it a ten if Goldion Hammer wasn't broken so easily . My hope is that Cyborg Butler will return someday as Evoluder Butler! (Though I doubt he will appear again)
