Hmm... seems like they're pacing this relatively nicely... for now.

Anyway, a brief description from what the website wrote about episode 3~6, with my shoddy Japanese and partial memory puzzling.

Spoiler for episode 3:

Tear and Luke got arrested by Jade. Luke is requested cooperation, as they face an attack by the Oracle Knights and the Six God-Generals who attempts to kidnap Ion. Luke, whom for the first time, (( strikes? )) a person got Tear seriously injured.

Or something like that.

Spoiler for episode 4:

Arietta, one of the 6 God-Generals who attacks Luke at Kaitzbul uses a hostage to lure Luke and Ion to Choral Castle, which is connected to Luke's past during his kidnapping as Jade discovers a hidden truth there.

Spoiler for episode 5:

As Luke returns back to Kimlasca, the prophecy of him becoming the 'hero who will save the mining city' is revealed to him by the King. Promised to be freed from his house arrest and granted freedom should be succeed, Luke accepts his appointment as a goodwill ambassador to go to Azkureith.

Hmm... episode 6 is harder to read, but the gist is pretty much...

Spoiler for episode 6:

Ion gets kidnapped. They move towards his rescue, accompanied by Natalia. They eventually finds Ion, but... dun dun dun.

Before anyone ask, I'm not going to translate the jargons.

Interestingly though, episode 6 has 2 animation directors, as opposed to the other episodes only having 1.

Looks like the writers are covering a lot of material. As I have said before, I am happy that the pace they are going.

From those small blurbs the story's pacing is definitely good, what I was afraid of was if they were gonna pull a Star Ocean EX on us, and end the anime the same time Disc 1 of the game ends

Luckily for us TotA was on just 1 DVD

Argh! I hated that! It bugged the heck out of me! And just when everything starts to get good in SO2, too!

But yeah, I'm definitely digging this interpretation of the series so far. I'm also finding it supremely rad that some friends are getting into the game because of the show, now. This will be the show that will ease me out of "Code Geass Mode".

I'm kinda hoping that the series gets licensed somewhere down the road... if not just to hear the actors from the game reprise their roles -- one of the few examples of voice acting in games that didn't annoy me. Maybe I'm a crazy dub fan? Who knows. Episode 3 can't come sooner!
