Offtopic: Again, I have respect for Windows and Linux if used properly; it's just that there's a problem with something between the seat and the screen, and I'm tired with the OS bashing. Please keep this thread on topic.
It was simply a fun poke at Windows, nothing to cry foul about

Also, I agree--the main problem lies between the chair and the keyboard, not within the OS.

Does anyone know any DOC to PDF converter that is no trail/demo that have page limits or leave mark in each page? BW; online sites also are a No!

Never tried it before (although I received seemingly positive feedback about it), but there is doPDF, which installs itself as a virtual printer driver but actually acts as a converter for many kinds of documents.

OpenOffice reads and writes DOC files (and many others) and has an export to PDF function. We haven't owned a copy of MS Office for years now.

I also like Abiword for regular tasks like writing letters, papers, etc. It, too, exports to PDF and has less baggage than OpenOffice or MS Word.

All I know are Sony Soundforge and Adobe Soundbooth, but are sophisticated and expensive. Audacity so far is one of the free, open-source editors:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

For some others, try checking out the list:

I would like to convert them first into Xvid AVI with the highest quality possible (i.e. with Any Video Converter, Super, ffmpeg, etc.), then try to use the video join software to link up the vids, before converting the assembled video clip back into FLV.

So far there are least four you might find usable (some of them are free-to-try, one is freeware):
http://www.imtoo.com/video-joiner.html
http://www.alivemedia.net/videojoiner/index.htm
http://www.freevideojoiner.com/
http://www.leapic.com/video-joiner.htm

Results may vary depending on usage.

Is there a freeware for bookmark cleaner? Sort of like test each link in my bookmark and remove deadlinks? I got soo much bookmark now which is very cluttered looking. Oh, I'm using Opera.. so it must work with Opera.

Simple enough, I use either one of these (different on each laptops I have ) Not to say that it is the best, but it's practically okay

http://aignes.com/deadlink.htm

Both can be used for Opera, F-Fox and IE. Freeware. I have used it for past 1 year and have no problem with it. I also have a lot of problems since I'm pretty much have to bookmark a lot of pages too, and these two, while may not be the most optimized software out there, helps me a lot

I do all my sound editing (including for my group's releases) in REAPER. It's written by Justin Frankel of Winamp fame (or infamy, take your pick). There's a sample project in the installer which gives you an example of how a song could be mixed in the program.

there probably isn't any seeds left for that torrent as you downloaded it last year... just search for a more recent torrent which should have an adequate number of seeds
